A console-style rpg that features extremely vidid characterization and a surprisingly thought-provoking story.
The engine has recently been completed, and construction of the game is progressing quickly.
The engine features multiple levels of parallax, a simple particle system, ambient sound effects, fog/smoke/rain/snow and miscellaneous environment effects, pixel scrolling, texture mapped mode-7 style maps, and 70 fps sync'd on a pentium 100 or higher. This engine utilizes tiles ...

The goal is to remake a game similar to the original Wizardry series between 1 and 5. The idea is to make a generic game engine that will be able to support multiple adventures that people on the Internet could design. The game will include a map editor to do so. I expect the game to run on windows and linux, but the code will be open source.
This project was aborted in 2004 but it's reconstruction has been started in 2012. The goal is to make the code more portable and try to make the ...

This is a remake of the game Sword of Fargoal, created by Jeff McCord in 1982.
This is the most recent game I've been/still working on. It's inspired by "Rogue", but doesn't really follow the "genre" of "Roguelike". It differs by having a turn-based (text) battle system, and the dungeons aren't generated as nicely. The object is to get through 20 parts of the Mirkwood forest from "The Hobbit" by J.R.R. Tolkien. On the way, you'll pick up equipment, battle monsters, and level up. I haven't beaten it yet ...
Created for the RPGDX 7th June MiniRPG compo. One hell of a weekend (+ bug fixing monday).
Project status is set to 'completed' because this is a fully completed demo. It's the prologue to a supposedly longer story, but as of now it is unclear whether we will continue with this story or not. Also, if we do continue it will probably become Sauerkraut 2. This game is very short, it couldn't have been longer because we had only 48 hours to finish it.
This game uses the ...
