I've never played the original, but this was very fun. I think it'd be interesting to try to update the graphics more, though.

This is a remake of Fargoal. Fargoal is a Rogue like game, so expect rogue like gameplay - the dungeons are tough, get tougher and if you ever beat the dungeon you're one of a chosen few. Very good principe but takes a long time and makes you very angry if you die after 5 hours playing... The sounds are not really great but fit to the other things. The graphics are as they are in an arcade game. At all it`s good in fun and bad in ressource.

What can i say? Could have been better!

The game Idea itself is nice .. BUT : please put some annimatuin in the game .. and make the combat more real .. like one key to slash .. and another to block a blow.. and let the sprites realy walk .. pick up ect.ect.. finish the game.. it has potential

This is well polished and fun to play! However, when descending a level the whole screen went red and some areas were revealed 'at random' is this normal?

Simple and interesting game. I spent hours and hours by playing Sword of Fargoal. :-)

This was one of my favorite games on the C64!
