Depot Games: Atomic Butcher
Project Status: Completed Highest Popularity: #12 during August 2009 Links: Web Site Category: Platform Developers: DasHumankapital, Indeterminatus, Roland Moritz Ports: Windows Source Code: Not Available Author's Description: ATOMIC BUTCHER V 1.1 This game is a jump'n'run with strong emphasis on action and violence. It takes place in a post-nuclear world, and you play the role of a strong but dumb mutant who is sent out by the leaders of the shelter he used to spend his rotten life in in order to bring home meat (because the food reserves run low). So much for the story. The controls are very similar to those used in the old classic game 'Abuse': You move around with the keyboard, and use the mouse for aiming. Your objective in every level is to collect a minimum amount of meat, which can be achieved by killing an enemy and collecting its corpse. Features: *360 seamless aiming *perfect moon walk of our "hero" *7 distinctive weapons *47 different enemies *10 levels full of unnecessary violence *lots of secrets *a powerful particle system *a simple scripting engine *even more unnecessary violence MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: the weakest system this game was tested on was a: P-II/400 MHz Matrox graphics card (exact model unknown, but it was really old) 64 MB RAM Windows ME It was playable on this system, but we can't guarantee that the game will run smoothly on older systems since it simply wasn't tested. So, everything left to say is: Download the game, play it for a while and if you feel like it, you might post something in the forum or drop us a line at atomicbutcher@dashumankapital.net. We hope that you enjoy playing the game as much as we enjoyed creating it (well, most of the time anyway...) If you played through version 1.0 and still have the savegames lying around, you might try beating the endboss again - you will get the chance to hear 2 new songs and (most important) will get the cheats!
