I bought a Tinwhistle/penny whistle/ Irish whistle, a Feadog in D: {"name":"obr-d.jpg","src":"\/\/djungxnpq2nug.cloudfront.net\/image\/cache\/6\/a\/6a09403b9571ba664fc569d783da137a.jpg","w":500,"h":500,"tn":"\/\/djungxnpq2nug.cloudfront.net\/image\/cache\/6\/a\/6a09403b9571ba664fc569d783da137a"} Unlike most musical instruments the tinwhistle is very easy to learn! and extremely cheap, my second day with it and recorded this: I tried to play 'Concerning Hobbits' from the Lord of the Rings soundtrack. If you want to listen this song performed by a professional watch this: ____ "The unlimited potential has been replaced by the concrete reality of what I programmed today." - Jordan Mechner. |

You could market it as a "Hobbit Whistle", and claim that Concerning Hobbits is playing from scratch in 2 days. I'm sure you'd sell a bunch in no time.

If this is for game music, I'd think your two-days-practice version would be better in certain situations than the polished pieces on youtube, such as if the protaganist is hesitant and timid on his adventure. Almost as if he were whistling to keep his spirits up, but he was "stammering" due to fear. They all watch too much MSNBC... they get ideas. |

Practice, lots and lots of practice. Just like programming, you need hours and hours of practice to become good.
