Author's Description: ROD is a sort of 2D shooter. It is not a scrolling space ship game! It is more of a "drive" around picking up items and blasting away loads of different types of baddies game!

You drive a special lead tank around a base in the middle of a conflict between the goodies and the mutant things.

There are loads of weapons and places to explore. There are about 15 maps to drive around, some small some big but they are all a challenge.

Drive about, get some ammo, find some secrets, blast some baddies but most importantly keep your health above zero!

Bare in mind that I wrote this game some time ago so its graphics are hardly on par with modern expectations but its still great fun.

If you want something more up to date try Meteor (another of my games).

• 10I disagree with all the other comments about this game. I throughly enjoyed it. Just because it is a 2d game in a low resolution does not mean people should dismiss it. I like the old school charm about the game, exploring the maps and finding different routes and weapons.

• 4I didn't like this game one bit. The graphics were so old school, and the gameplay was pretty bad. If you want a quality game, make sure to get away from this as much as you can...

• 4Aiming at the aliens was a little awkward. Computer independent gamespeed would've been nice. An OK game that could use some better designed levels. The author has made a much better, and similar game, called Meteor. I recommend you download that instead!
