IOTD: TA3D pre0.2.4

That's a screenshot of my project TA3D. It's a remake of the engine of Total Annihilation but in real 3D. Since the goal of my project is to improve the graphics I would like to know how I could improve them from what I have already done - any idea is welcome. Water rendering uses a pixel shader (using GLSL), and require to redraw the whole scene through the water to have a reflective effect, may be some one knows a better way to do this?? I like the water. Add some ripples and froth around the units so it looks like they're disturbing the water. The explosions and smoke could use some work, especially if you've got water that looks that nice. - William Heatley

I agree, looks stunning! If you need more advice on realistic water, you could check out Scorched 3D [scorched3d.co.uk]. Its source code is available for free. - Michael Faerber
I would change for first the smoke... it's horrible.
The water need a procedural texture , animate if possible.. The work is very impressive anyway, no doubt! - Roberto Mutti
