Happy birthday to my aunt. It's her bday. We celebrated 4:20 already in vancouver at ubc by stripping naked at midnight and running through campus and the library and everywhere else people were studying for exams. It was for charity though so that makes it okay. ------------- |

I crafted myself a good one before going to take a coffee time at work. Wonderful ! Happy Happy Birthday for those it's the day, and 4/20 for amateurs ! "Code is like shit - it only smells if it is not yours" |

Yeah, it's just "celebrated" by a portion of the cannabis culture... and all they do is smoke weed, which is what they do anyways. I didn't do anything, in case you were wondering ML "He who controls the stuffing controls the Universe" |

I could see doing it as a once a year holiday. I'd never get into doing it on a regular-basis, though. I've got too much of my future to work toward--and my personality leads me to addictive cop-outs if I'm not careful. -----sig: |

Also, I don't think an addiction alone is a problem (if you can really get "addicted" to weed) but rather what you link the addiction to. Many people are addicted to caffeine, but they tend to drink coffee right before getting work done, so their mind goes "Oh, caffeine? I guess it's time to get serious." The problem is that people smoke weed to relax, so any time you get high your brain says "Cool, bro. Let's relax, maaaaaan." If your idea of relaxing is writing sweet code, then there's no harm -- you're probably more likely to work on code, enjoy it more, and are more relaxed. If your idea of relaxing is something else, I don't think you have a terribly bright future to begin with, but smoking habitually will probably make it worse. --- |
