i dont really get what you say or mean...i have the audio book version of it, listening to it a second time, i've taken some of the advice and applied it, and it does work. no need to join a cult or group, this not pick up artist techniques, just a guide on how to get on with people in general, but it sure can help in the dating arena.

Timmorg was being immoral in my opinion, so perhaps you (Timmorg) deserve whatever pathetic drama drifts your way. Life isn't fair and people don't make the effort to be nice anymore, so what do you expect? Just don't be so foolish so as to expect anyone else to be intellecutally honest, most people are like women (in fact most people giving shit tend to be women). It's all impulse drama and emotion and no rationality or just cause. It's like a soap opera to them, they profile and sterotype and want to be appeased as the selfish pigs that they are.

If you give in to what they want then you are condoning it and rewarding them. The issue isn't the cause (it isn't even a valid issue). It is all farm-yard pecking order. You should just sucker punch them in the eye rather than bother speaking. There isn't that much wrong with being an arsehole. Make a joke about it later.

There is one thing that I will still add though, and that is that the thing that some people are really apoligising here for is how the Indian students acted with malice (YES THEY DID) whereas Timmorg didn't. Sounds like some people need some helping along with maintaining a healthy attitude. Some kind of re-adjustment perhaps?

If I were Timmorg I'd take a leaf from the "Sensitive" teacher's book and ask the students to come have a talk with me during lunch time. As they enter the teachers mess I'd ask them to take a seat right there and if they wanted tea or coffee. Then I'd get down to business and ask them why they went over your head, why they felt the need to complain in the first place, what their motivation was, why they felt compelled to drama whore to the dean or whoever it was.

Was it peer pressure, sexual frustration, feelings of inadequacy, racial hatred driving them to "one up" the "opposition" whenever they get the chance, depression and victimization mental illness, trouble at home, victims of rape and sodomization, lack of stimulating material and sociopathic tendencies causing them to stir trouble and drama (in which case recommend them to the school shrink and give them lots of extra tutorage assignments from the text book to keep them occupied)?

When people do things to incite raising racial tensions they are usually made to write a 1000-word essay on how their shelfish behaviour is detremintal to the educational environment of the other students and so on.

Which really exemplifies the how overly-sensitive and stupid some racial arguments are.

As a teacher in today's culture, it's a put down for a person in a position-of-authority to call someone's name silly. People put a lot of value in their names. It represents who they are, so they took it personal, and then complained on the only ground they knew--racism. (Even though it wasn't.)

So I'd be (slightly) careful about making comments like that in the future about anyone in your classes. People in power can't say the same things as the peer groups and get away with it, because now they're words carry authoritative weight.
