I've played it and the bad guys kill all my soldiers too soon. Those big bugs are hard! ;)

Good graphics. Good sound. Good AI (too much for me :P). So, a great game.

The bugs are nothing. It's those towers that screw you over. They will take out your whole army. There is, however, one weak point to them. The shark. For whatever reason, it doesn't seem to do area damage to them. Those big bugs can't fight back at all against sharks, either, so using them is essential in later missions.

Thanks to all your comments the version 1.0.3 is out. This version only changes the data, not the engine.

1. First level is made easier
2. Flying units are more expensive (1.5x)
3. Towers have increased their attack to flying units and decreased attack to ground units

Thank you, Elverion, but it is only 17MB, while the original is 64MB. Could you please check where the problem is?

The copy on your server is only 14mb. I need a fixed copy before I can correct the mirror.

Please, try it now. To be sure I have uploaded it again and also tested in Opera and it says it is 64MB.

Ok, it's been updated. The link is the same as before.

I tried 1.02 and I like it pretty much. It's fairly difficult but you said you adjusted that for 1.03. Is there any chance you could post a link to the updated data files provided separately so I don't have to spend another 8 hours downloading it? I'll try to give a better review in a few days. Thanks.

Update
Played through the second scenario another time and managed to destroy everything except the aliens inside the unexplainable purple lightning explosion zone... I couldn't complete the level though because the nazar had all been mined up so I saved the game and sent the army into the purple lightning zone. :o

It's enjoyable, the graphics are nice and it has good character. Gameplay control and explanation seems a little lacking so far though. As far as I know there's no way to set a group of troops to a shortcut selection key. The select all units on screen command isn't as handy as it could be because it selects harvesters as well. The game is in need of a manual to explain a few things but they can be learned through trial and error I suppose.

Nice graphics and good sound. I hope to see it continue to develop further.

Thanks,
Edgar.

Ctrl+<number> to create group, <number> to select that group. Maybe numlock is not working, I have to test it.

Okay, that's working, thank you. It was never explained anywhere so I didn't try it.

I also don't know how to add or remove units from the currently selected group. Neither shift clicking nor control clicking would do it. I don't know if you have it implemented or not, but it would be really nice when there are harvesters in the way of selecting a group of troops.

Are you planning to add a manual? At the least a quick text manual would be nice.

Anyway, thanks again. :)

Shift+"click and drag" works for adding units to currently selected. Deselecting is not implemented.

Manual is not planned.

I can't get it to work in V1.02. It just selects a new group for me.

Not even a list of keys for in game use? I can tell that a lot of work went into this game, and it would be a shame not to have a key list or improved unit selection / deselection techniques. It's up to you, although it detracts from my overall good opinion of the game.

You need to hold the shift key until you release the left mouse button. I've added manual to our pages.

Sorry, it's just not working for me. I click drag selected a group and then held the shift key and click dragged over another group of units and it just selects the new group instead of adding them to the current one. It does the same thing with left or right shift keys.

Thank you. Shouldn't the keyboard commands be in there as well though?
