Next time let's do an I.Q. test;D

Somebody should write a script to parse this particular thread looking for these test results and then create a table with highest and lowest stats for each. ;D

I also think I am more Obsessive Compulsive than the test indicates.
It didn't have many questions on that though. I tend to rotate things to that they line up. For example, if a pen is on a table, I sometimes feel the urge to rotate it so that it is parallel with the table edge, but there were no questions on that sort of thing.

Psychiatrist: I'm going to give you a Rorschach test now. Tell me what you see in these pictures.

What's this?

Patient: A keyhole! And wow! The things that are going on in that room!

Psych: What's this?

Patient: A window! And that's one hot babe in that room!

Psych: And this?

Patient: A porthole on a ship! And they're really rocking that boat!

Psych: I'm afraid you're deeply disturbed...

Patient: What?!? You're the one with all the dirty pictures!

They all watch too much MSNBC... they get ideas.

Stupid fixed test. It seems to be impossible to get 0% on everything. Minimum is 10% in all categories and that's when you answer "very inaccurate" to everything, except for "very accurate" at "I enjoy social gatherings."

Personality "disorders" my a$$.:-X

All of the described behavioral patterns are perfectly human ways of acting/feeling, nothing "disordered" about it, in my opinion.

Here is a great and accurate test for those dissatisfied with their disorder results.

Careful though, it's got quite a few pages.

Its not the actual behaviour that's seen as a sign, but the degree of seriousness.. Being a little shy or a little outspoken is fine, being a lot of ANYTHING can be a bad thing.

Tests show nothing. I can go to self-diagnosis site and end up having high possibility of cancer, when in fact all I have is tireness caused by going to bed late.

Sometimes I will be on time at the expense of being able to concentrate on practice rather than theory.

WTF? I'm not even sure what that means, and my reading comprehension is very good.

EDIT:

And why does it seem like every other question mentions deja vu?

One can positively determine if he has cancer. Symptoms may not be clear, but going to the doctor and running scans can easily determine the cause.

"Personality disorders" often have no known traceable cause. The only way you are diagnosed with one is to be observed by a professional. Thus taking a well constructed test (I'm not suggesting that this one is) could be fairly accurate.

I fit all seven of DSM-IV-TR's criteria for schizoid personality disorder, most to very extreme levels. Only four are required. Of course, there is an escape clause that includes "must not have some other disorder like Asperger syndrome."

I of course don't know what label a psychologist would give me, if any. I suppose it could easily differ depending on which one I went to. But to me, the exact label doesn't really matter unless you are looking to change the way you are.

Then it would be helpful to get a precise diagnosis because symptoms could be due to something else, like depression or a real medical condition.

Many disorders are overlapping. Even if you were to get 95% and 90% on two them, it's possible that you really are only labeled as one. One of the criteria is usually something like, "And isn't characterized by some other disorder."

I agree that in general that "disorder" is too harsh of a word. But all of them can negatively impact your life, so they cannot be completely ignored.

And one should never use some label as an excuse for any negative actions. If your disorder is "causing" you to do bad things, then you should check yourself in somewhere. :P

Histrionic             ||||||||||||            46%    43%
Narcissistic           ||||||||||              38%    41%

Feels about right, though I'm not sure about Histrionic. I thinking my sig may say otherwise... :-X
