There was no repetition in the stadium, apparently, so nobody in the stadium knows why he was expelled. Thus the continous whistling against Italy and the referee. (Edited: Congratulations Italy! Just don't forget the problems with your internal soccer because you are champions -- |

All i can say is WTF!!!!!! Horrible officiating.. just horrible! France was all over italy in the 2nd half and extra time, they should have scored two or three goals. Nice save by buffon though on zidane just before he got kicked out. Ending a match in penalties is not the way to decide the world champions. There was literally no saves in that. I hate it when they do it in hockey to decide a match. At least in the NHL playoffs they go into overtime and keep playing until someone scores. ------------- |

Oh, listen. The Italy 1990 world cup music theme. I don't know in other countries, but in Argentina, whenever something about the World Cup is shown in TV, they use that theme. -- |

I'm dying to know what exactly Materazzi said to Zidane to cause him to lose his cool at such a moment. Unbelievable, winning the World Cup whilst in the midst of a major football scandal at home. Apart from that incident though, France deserved it more, especially given the second half. |
