Not gunbusters, X-G already found it people. No need to look anymore until I can prove X-G wrong( don't see how I'll do that).

Yeah, seems like Tekkaman Blade. It was played through USA Network, I used to get up at 9 o'clock on saturdays to watch it.

Hey, it's only fiction! :)

I know that -_-. I need to see the intro and several episodes to know for sure and I can't do that. I can't find any eps on animefantasia or animesuki. And it isn't out on dvd either.

USA and japanese intros are very different. You will have to check both to see if it is indeed what you are looking for.

I want to get an anime now... can anyone recommend a good one, I like lots of action... what about Neon Genesis? It looks pretty cool.

NGE is one of the best anime series ever. The end is really disappointing, but you have the movies that were made to "replace" the original ending.

There are lots. Cowboy Bebop, NGE, Berserk, Outlaw Star, Hellsing, Witch Hunter Robin, Record of Lodoss War, Escaflowne, Rahxephon, Ghost in the Shell, Blue Gender are a few that come to mind that are decently action oriented.

Heh I guess it depends on the price, I'm looking at under 30 bucks here.... so maybe Ghost in the Shell if NGE is too expensive :)

Well, NGE is an OVA (I don't remember the number of chapters, but I remember seeing a package with al the chapters on DVD and they where about 8 DVD's), while Ghost in the Shell is just one film. So if you look at price, then get Ghost in the Shell.

The old NGE boxset was over $150. You might be able to get it cheap now that some people are selling their old copies off to get the new special editions.

Good single OVA/movie animes are less common. Ninja Scroll and Princess Mononoke are good.

My votes in order of least gory to most gory:

Puni puni poemi (comedy) <--- ;D
Escaflowne <--- :'( :-/
Cowboy Bebop <--- 8-) 8-)
Princess Mononoke <--- 8-)
Ghost in the shell <--- 8-) 8-) :o
Roureni Kenshin OVA <--- :'( :-/
Berserk <--- :-X :-X :-X

There are others, but these are my top choices.

I'm now watching Ninja Scroll. The battles are good and there's plenty of action, but the story seems to be null :-/ (I've only watched the 5 first episodes, so maybe it gets better).

If you want to see how this (<-- see avatar) little rabit-like thing transforms into a spaceship, then you can watch Tenchi Muyo ;D It's a good weird/action/"romantic"/humour anime (romantic is inside quotation marks because it's not really serious, it's mostly used for humour). Though I've heard a little of the English dub and it's horrible :o I'm happy that Catalan anime dubs are very good in general :)

I am watching Record of the Lodoss War, You are under Arrest, and Slayers. Not bad at all.

My favorite animes:

Comedy: School Rumble, Azumanga Daioh, FLCL, Chobits, Jungle wa itsumo Hale nochi Guu, Full Metal Panic? Fumoffu!

Serious: Neon Genesis Evangelion, Kino no Tabi, Elfen Lied, Kimi ga Nozomu Eien, Air TV, Grave of the Fireflies

I'm not really into action shows... but try Cowboy Bebop and Samurai Champloo. Elfen Lied if you want lots of bloody, nudity, and a nice scifi story. But not that much action. :)

I got NGE vol. 1 Platinum... there is 6 to the set but individually they are pretty cheap. Actually if I understand correctly there are actually 7 since they redid episode 22 and 23. The vol. 6 DVD says it has both the origional and directors cut of the last three episodes... but I don't think it's the alternate ending. Oh well I'll be enjoying the series hopefully while eating chinese ;D

The new ending is in the movie, "The End of Evangelion" and it's very good in my opinion. Don't forget to get "Death And Rebirth" as well, it's a collection of scenes and some that aren't shown on the dvds.

Heh my dilemma now is which audio track to watch it on ;D
