Does anybody know where the house of the "crazy cat lady" is? I was in there once (back then I didn't have the money to buy a cat) and I wasn't able to find in this morning.
Speaking of pets: Will they survice my death? I'm a warlock and I die pretty often :)

As I understand it, warlocks don't care if their minions live or die. If they live, great. If they die, summon another one. It's not like a hunter, who actually has to bond with his pet, keep it happy, earn its loyalty, etc. But then, my warlock is only level 8, so what do I know?

I bought Soul Calibur 2 for GC on Saturday because I saw it for 30 bucks and couldn't pass it up. I might even play it sometime ...

I'm getting tired of all the programming threads cluttering up the forum. Bah!

Well, if I were playing World of Warcraft, I'd post here rather than on Blizzard's forum. At least the US forums seem to be filled with people who don't get much further than `omfg blizz u sux l0l. This game is pathetic l0l. There's so many bugz its not funny, u need to fix them or u will lose all players who pay u money for updatez. WHERE ARE OUR MONTHLY UPDATES!!! Why is [insert server name] down every five minutez? Why don't u spend our money to make teh game good like EQ2?' and smilar dribble.

That said, I think you should all kill mEmO's bandwith over at ACC online gaming rather than Matthew's... that way there will be no more complaining by people who don't want to read about WoW, and I can still read about it ;)

Sure. My demons can die. I'll even sacrifice them for my protection. But a cat is nothing I'd conjure, it's something I buy for an impressive price (for low level chars that is).

spellcaster: the crazy cat lady is located right outside the nortshire abbey area. when heading towards goldshire it should be on your right.
when you die you summon the cat from the pet box you buy.

Pets like cats aren't even involved in battle. They don't fight, and they don't die. They just fade away when you die, and you resummon them as usual.

Funny story. I'm in my high 20's, doing my business in Raven Hill Cemetary in Duskwood. Lots of players running around that night, and I end up partnered with two others, one of who is a Gnome Warlock (forget the other guy; I think he was a Paladin. Anyway).

Anyone who hangs out in Raven Hill knows a powerful (for my level) Elite wanders around there named Mor'Ladim. When I first hooked up with these two, the Elite had wandered too close to them and the little Gnome had to sacrifice her Voidwalker so we could book out of there. A few minutes later, while we're searching for a tomb entrance, we run into him yet again! Once again, we leave the Voidwalker to die so we can run. She's just sitting on the lawn crying (who says Warlocks don't care?) and I'm making light fun of her because she can't keep her minions alive. As she summons a new Voidwalker, she promises she'll take care of this one. I mean, what are the odds we'll run into him again, right? Right?

Oy. We find the tomb, we do our business there (very quick quest) we leave, and who's waiting for us right outside? Man, what did Voidwalkers ever do to this guy? We're done the quest, so we don't even take off in the same directions; we leave the Voidwalker to die (third one), I'm laughing my butt off, the Gnome is crying "Noooooo!" as she runs for her life. ;D It was not a good ten minutes for her. ;D

And it's a good thing, because some people pay upwards of 35g for them. I bought my mount with money earned from farming black whelp pets in the Badlands. I have a pet owl; seems fitting for a Druid. I gave a spare whelp to my mage; she looks good with it. A 60 Rogue in my guild has a Worg Pup pet, which drops in one of the high-level instances. Apparently this thing can make a show of attacking and dying; she's seen it nip at opponents in duels. Does no damage, but looks neat. :)

On fishing: I need to up my skill there. :( Neglected it for quite some time. My Herbalism, Alchemy, and First Aid are all 300 though. :) Cooking is about 200. Fishing is about ... 50? :P

The one on the right. :) Gnome warlocks are funny, because they're generally smaller than what they can summon. :)

Other summoned minions are imp, succubus, and felhound (obvious Zergling spoof :)). There's a couple other high-level ones (Doomguard?), but warlocks are not a class I'm terribly familiar with ...

I got my pet when I ran Deadmines. Was dropped. I coulda had two, but at the time I didn't know what it was and my bags were full so I didn't grab the first one. I got the second drop though, which was a bird. Kinda lame, but whatever.

I'm sure it's a great game, but when it's addictive to the point that people devote all their free time to it then there's no way I'll dare play it.

Chris's game is gathering dust, MeMo's vanished into unknown depths, Spellcaster will soon be too tired to cast any spells and it seems that I'll never see any more games from X-G like I was hoping for.

Blizzard have a lot to answer for.

In US you can sue people for anything.. Why dont we sue Blizzard for making addictive games that can make people sit in front of the computer so long that they die:o

;D

I still do plenty. I'm still in church ministry, I've spent some time hanging out with guys I've met at work, etc. I'm not even playing today; no time. Plus that other job starting in a few months (yay!) My reformat also had something to do with lack of TMS production; while I've reinstalled the easy stuff like Blender, I have no enthusiasm for reinstalling all my compilers, IDE's, editors, libraries, etc. All of which was a pretty big headache in the first place and my motivation to go through it all again is a bit low. :P And I'll get bored of WoW in not terribly long; I'm just kind of grinding to 60. I've seen most of what the game has to offer now, so it's not like I'll be playing forever. Didn't see anyone complaining when I went on my Starcraft hiatus. On the contrary; plenty of you keep whining I don't play it anymore. :)

Anyway, I gotta run. See ya.

Now now now... Starcraft was a once a week ordeal, only on Sunday morning and it lasted only a few hours... not this stay up for three days in a row schizophrenia.

There's also a sacrifice spell that sacrifices your minion and grants you a shield for N seconds.

And gnomes are fun... well, just because they are gnomes :)
Gnomes rule. In the "don't step on me" way of ruling :)

So... was it addictive?
I personally found it very nice, regardless of its bugs.

As if they don't go down enough as it is ;D I don't think that's a very good idea anyway.. you ever watch Dawn of the Dead? Well that's what's gonna happen if you p*ss off a bunch of WoW addicted corpses.
