Author's Description: this is a random pattern generator i wrote for use in games that i was planning on writing with allegro. The original need that spawned it was that i wanted a way to make interesting grass for a 2D-game. It was my first program i wrote with allegro. It think it is very useful. The code (which is also in the zip) is nigh on impossible to make sense of because most of design i did on masses of paper, but i'm putting it here for all to see nonetheless. I'm particularly proud of the fact that it uses only the allegro drawing primitives to do all the drawing.

No extra bitmaps or libs. Maybe someone can even make use of it. It's not a game i'm afaraid - you'll have to wait for a game from me :)

• 5A very nice demo of the various patterns. I enjoyed the curvy feel of the blue set of patterns. The grass set was also nice. This utility would benefit from an ability to save these images, and to make tiled textures. Unfortunately, I couldn't quite follow the code to extract the algorithm you used.
