Author's Description: Created for the RPGDX 7th June MiniRPG compo. One hell of a weekend (+ bug fixing monday).

Project status is set to 'completed' because this is a fully completed demo. It's the prologue to a supposedly longer story, but as of now it is unclear whether we will continue with this story or not. Also, if we do continue it will probably become Sauerkraut 2. This game is very short, it couldn't have been longer because we had only 48 hours to finish it.

This game uses the Moonlight RPG engine, a large part of which was programmed within the 48 hour compo. The engine and the game are both released under GPL. The engine uses Allegro (obviously) and the SeeR C-scripting library, if anyone wants to try porting it to other OSes, we would really appreciate that.

  • 7This game is a good one...I liked the graphics and the funny commentares of Zork in the game very much...for a RPG made in 48 hours,it's even quite good...
  • 10Great game. It ran at an amazing 100fps for me. I thank Bjorn for providing source, because the 'Moonlight Engine' is a really good piece of software to model games after. Good job!
  • 6This is a cool game, with good graphics. Unfortunately, it's a bit crude.
