Anyone ever try to make ambigrams (words which read the same when rotated [or sometimes mirrored or flpped])? Here's my attempt at "allegro":

{"name":"607255","src":"\/\/djungxnpq2nug.cloudfront.net\/image\/cache\/f\/8\/f82aeac168ae172ce7aa17b8ca715523.png","w":959,"h":551,"tn":"\/\/djungxnpq2nug.cloudfront.net\/image\/cache\/f\/8\/f82aeac168ae172ce7aa17b8ca715523"}607255

Here's one I made for my sister, Alia:

{"name":"607256","src":"\/\/djungxnpq2nug.cloudfront.net\/image\/cache\/8\/1\/817b829b7bc78c6576722b4e8d7602f0.png","w":777,"h":374,"tn":"\/\/djungxnpq2nug.cloudfront.net\/image\/cache\/8\/1\/817b829b7bc78c6576722b4e8d7602f0"}607256

Post any ambigrams you've made and tell me if mine work or not.

The allegro one is amazing. The Alia one is harder to read - I think I could have made it out without knowing what it means though.

Hey, this is fun. Have to write a drawing tool for this. Open challenge!

10 minutes on Paint.net

Yes, the allegro is really cool!

Have to write a drawing tool for this.

Inkscape has a clone feature which basically is just that. Write the first half of the word, clone it and rotate it 180°. Then you can edit all letters and the rotated copy is updated in realtime.

My attempt:

OP: your "allegro" is pretty impressive. I'd never heard of ambigrams either.

My attempt:

@Elias what's yours supposed to be? I think the middle three letters are supposed to be "biq", but I can't think of any words that like that and I can't make out the first and last letters (s or o or a?).

Didn't Bach signed something like that?

Bach Seal

For a second, I thought "amigrams" (as spelled in the thread title) had something to do with "amigo"... "friendagrams" or something like that. ;D

The most prominent ambigram I can think of is the one from the Princess Bride, doing it with the title.

Yeah, it was only a quick try (while in the office :X), just going letter by letter.

Here's my attempt at William, which is my name as well.
Had to mix capital and lowercase, but I think it turned out okay.
