I actually don't think any regulars claim to be from the Chicago area, but ... there is an international Allegro meet-up scheduled for this Tuesday (May 19th) evening in Chicago. The tentative plan is to meet at or near Union Station, so it should be easy to get to from anywhere in the Milwaukee/Chicago area. Evert (Old World) and I (New World) will be there. The agenda includes:

Damn, I thought this idea died when it was proposed (what was that, 3-4 weeks ago?). If I had known we were actually going to do it, I would have made plans. As it stands, it is highly unlikely I'll manage to make it. Dammit, why can't we have an AllegroCon in Franklin, Kentucky?!
