Hello. I am making a game, and it need to be tested :)
I will implement more things soon. By now you can only simple duel with 4 cows.
The game name is "The Mad Cow". Its playable now xD

Here is the screenshot:

The file is attached to the topic.

Here are the tests I need you to make and post the results:

- Is the image, the cow movement, the shot movement, smooth?
- How much is the fps rate?
- The playability, moving the cow, shotting, is good?
- How much % of the processor does it uses?
- Did you like the sounds and music?
- Is the AI easy or hard?
- Did you find any bugs?
- Do you have any suggestion or comments?
- If you have another test, test it xD

Keys:
Arrows = Move
Numpad 1 = Shot
Numpad 2 = Change Weapon (Mines need to full load the shot bar)
Space = Show Frags/Hit Taken...
Ctrl + Arrows = Change Direction (It works while moving)
P = Pause
NUMPAD MINUS/PLUS (+/-) = Increase/Decrease AI Difficulty

PS: When you press any arrow key, the cow will move one whole square :)

Thank you for testing ;)

Tested on a Dual Core Intel E6550 with 3Gb RAM and a 256 Mb ATI Raedon HD 2400, running Vista.

All movement was smooth.

Quote:

iT appeared to be locked at 60FPS

The controls were unresponsive. There was about a half second delay between pressing a key to change direction and when the cow actually changed direction. Likewise for firing while the cow was moving.

edit: forgot to add - pressing control with arrow keys didn't seem to do anything.

Quote:

8% - 10%

Quote:

I didn't dislike them.

Nope.

Customizable keys please. I really didn't like having to use the numeric keypad for firing and changing weapons, as it meant my hands were too close together on the keyboard. I'm also used to using my right hand for movement and left hand for firing, which works better for me, as my right hand is far more dextrous than my left. Also, using the numeric keypad means your game can't be played on computers without full keyboards, and a lot of people like playing games on laptops.

Ty for testing, this helps a lot :), I will do custom keys.

About the controls, they are not unresponsive, its the game mode. If you press to walk once, the cow will walk one whole square. The ctrl + arrow, make the cow change direction, but the cow keep walking the direction you first made it walk. You need to wait 0.5 sec to fire milk, in the red upper bar, if there is a "Locked" you cant shot :)
