Quote: Maybe by the time it's on Netflix, I'll have some friends to invite over to watch it! Aw, poor Matt. I'll be your friend and come watch it, but I am currently stuck in Nigeria, and I need $50,000 to get my royal inheritance, after which I can come watch movies with you! So all I need is $50,000, which I will gladly pay back as soon as I see you! It will have to be forwarded by a friend in your state of Kentucky, however, due to legal reasons, so don't be confused at the address I ask you to send money to in a private message!

kungfu panda was brilliant I thought. Shame no body can make a decent film tie-in, which is mostly down to thq doing them (Activision in the case of panda, but it's still crap). Neil. wii:0356-1384-6687-2022, kart:3308-4806-6002. XBOX:chucklepie |

The Dark Knight is the best movie of the year. It's also the best superhero movie ever. I liked Kung Fu Panda, it was very fun. Wall-E... I'm not sure about it. The story was tight, but I didn't like it much. -R |

Okay so I just saw this movie and it was one of the best movies I've ever seen. Absolutely great. Now I have one question. SPOILER ALERT! Lt. James Gordon said: Because he's the hero Gotham deserves, but not the one it needs right now...and so we'll hunt him, because he can take it. Because he's not a hero. He's a silent guardian, a watchful protector...a dark knight.
When Gordon says this, and then teh Batman runs off with the police now chasing him...the thing that I'm not getting is why? The police can only arrest Batman if he's done something wrong/against the law. So what law did Batman break that gave the police the right to chase after him? --- |

He took the blame for Harvey Dent's crimes as Two Face so no one would know that the Joker managed to corrupt Gotham's white knight. Harvey Dent is the hero Gotham needs right now and no one can know that he became the bad guy. Batman took the fall so Harvey could be the martyr and stay a hero. -- |

Every single Hollywood actor is a devil worshiping rapist, and by going to their movies you are just feeding their drug addictions and enabling their heathenish life styles. |

Saw it. It was good. But I had to pee like crazy during the last quarter of the movie, made it difficult to enjoy, unfortunately. Very exciting with a lot of moral dilemmas. -- |

It was definitely a good movie. Dropping the last ~30 minutes would have made it great movie. Did we really need to see the part with Two-Face? Sub-par acting coupled with poor dialog == fail. -- |

I thought the bit with Two Face was great; showed the culmination of the Joker's work on Dent, and set a new direction for the next movie as Batman, the "bad guy". Maybe the acting wasn't so hot, but the dialogue could have been a lot cheesier. Wrapped everything up well IMO. -- |

Cops do pretty much what they want (except the occasional Serpico type). Try to videotape one giving you a ticket. They all watch too much MSNBC... they get ideas. |

In teh next batman movie, what is he going to do for all his equipment now that the whole lab thingy was destroyed with Lucius Fox? And where is he gonna live? --- |

Lucius Fox is still working for Wayne (since that monitoring thingy was destroyed) so one would guess wherever they do relocate the labs, Fox will be able to design new weapons/equipment and a new Batmobile. ================================================= |

Well, what do you know, I did get some friends to take me to see it. It sucked. They lost the style that permeated the Batman movies of the past. The freaking batcave has the entire ceiling being lit! It's the Dark Knight, darn it, he is supposed to live in the shadowy abode. The Joker also had no style, at least compared to the Nicholson joker. He was unkept, he smacked his lips, his jokes were bad... Gotham looked like a normal city, no large statues, no Gothic architecture. And there was so much silence... almost no coherent soundtrack. If I want to look at something realistic, I can just look at CNN or outside a window. I want my movies to be work of fiction, not worlds of alternate reality. I do not enjoy this Fahrenheit 451 mentality of un-realism and fiction being shunned. It also had a rather elongated and slow paced. I liked Batman and Robin more than this. Oh well. Yeah, blargmob, you might want to retract that statement. It's just SiegeLord's opinion and he listed good points to backup why he didn't like it. I really enjoyed the film, personally, although it was a bit long. ------------ |
