Scolopendra is my hybrid version of Centipede & millipede. It has the good old centipede, backed up by slugs, spiders, wasps, butterflies, dragonflies and deadly exploding toadstools. The object of this project was for me to learn more about pixel perfect collision detection, animation, music and mouse control. The initial game took a couple of days to knock together. It took a couple of months to animate, beautify and add the sounds and effects. It features a little sound-track by DJ Keys, and sprites from Reiner's Tilesets. Movement is controlled by the mouse. http://allegro.cc/files/attachment/592314 -- |

Um... what's in the zip? It is downloading now and I don't know if there's anything for my Mac. ... Oh, there isn't. Anyway the game looks interesting. It's like Apeiron on vintage mac, a great shooter game my wife loves! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Years of thorough research have revealed that what people find beautiful about the Mandelbrot set is not the set itself, but all the rest. |

Err, yeah, I should have mentioned Quote: It's like Apeiron on vintage mac, a great shooter game my wife loves! Heh, funny you should mention that. I started off basing the graphics on those from Apeiron, but as I lack artistic talent, I used existing animated characters from Reiner's web site. -- |

Mark, what's with the couple in you avatar? And are they cuffs on the male? Oh, and married life is pretty much like living together, except the out clause isn't as easy to invoke. -- |

nah, those are just sweat bands and wrist bands. Basically the story is that my avatar found a summer buddy. It's from this thread. -- |

But I bet instantiating new objects became slightly easier. From what I can tell from our friends, they're also a lot more resource hungry. Quote: Basically the story is that my avatar found a summer buddy. I keep forgetting the northern hemisphere is moving into summer. The exact opposite to what we're getting. Hold up. I'm assisting in the derailment of my own thread! -- |
