Summer Vacation?

So, I just finished school for this year about 4 hours ago or so. I was pretty happy. Got good grades on my finals and was an honor student with the 4.0 one. And I am so ready for summer. Got any summer plans? Any vacations? I don't know what I am doing yet. I am moving some time this summer to who knows wear. Other than that probably hanging with my friends. Working on my site. And a lot of sleep.

How about y'all?

Oh, it is 4.0 GPA. Straight A's. I don't know if you live somewhere else that uses a different grading system. Sorry.

4.0 grade point average? Though I think what those GPA marks mean are dependent on your location.

I think he might be refering to his GPA (Grade Point Average. 4.0 means straight A's).

I'm going to summer school this year, rotten school specific class shakes fist. And besides that, just the usual...except with less school. That means, working on my sites/businesses, programming, and playing StarCraft.

EDIT: It so did not take me 2 minutes to post this, I clearly posted the same time as everyone else.

I'm spending my summer gaining weight. :) (edit: Not doing bad today!.. need more carbs.. and less vitamin C, or I might rust)
While trying to help a friend lose it.

Will probably go to Toronto like we do every year.. but we're also hoping to get out to Edmonton, Alberta.
My parents aren't sure if they'll be able to afford it, though.. they're not good with money at all ::)

Plans for summer... Uh-uh. This is simple.

Spend time on the computer. (No life.)
Drink a lot of caffeinated beverages. (Addicted? Me? Never!)
Sleep when I get tired. (Currently doing 2 units up and 1 unit sleeping -- 1 unit being either night or day.)
Hack on Wine's DDraw OpenGL codepath. (The code is all there -- requires a bit of effort to enable and optimize.)
Graduate and get into the university to study computer science. (Computer and art history exams to go -- the compsci teacher is using stuff I wrote for the exam and I simply love art history. And getting into a free place at the uni will be simple.)
Have another LAN party with booze with some classmates who didn't turn out to be complete idiots over the years. (Woo!)
Sulk a lot. (Doable.)
Flex my atrophied coding muscles. (Doing that already.)
Play some Enemy Territory on the net. (Been doing that since the day the demo came out, which was last september, iirc.)

So there. Another summer wasted. :P

Considering that I have a tendency to not do the stuff I plan, this list isn't final either :P

Oh yeah! Wherever I move I need to find other people to be in a band. I haven't played guitar with someone else in a long time.

Right now I live in Boise Idaho. My parents have applied for jobs in: Anchorage, Alaska. Kalispell, Montana. and if they don't find another job they have one definately in Newport, Oregon which I hate.

I actually have plans this summer! :O

  • I'm going kayaking with a gang in some Norwegian fiord (any Norwegians here who know a good one?)

  • Going to my (distance) gf on the isle of Formentera (next to Ibiza) for a week or two

So - precious little will probably be accomplished :)

I've got to work...

I'll probably take a few weeks and the odd day off during summer though, and sortof relax into it. Evenings will probably be filled with seeing friends and doing outdoor stuff.
Oh, I'll probably spend some time abroad as well.

summer? whats that? Summer used to mean vacation and all that, but now the summer is just like any other part of the year. I goto class, then work, then come home and program until I have successfully acquired sleep deprevation.

I might finish the associates, as I'll be about 70% done after this year. But, I was recently offered a job (name my price) as network technician / programmer that I will most likely accept once I'm done with my current contracts.

Does "nothing" count as something? If you can describe it, it must not be nothing no?
