Hi ho Allegators, I need you to help me out with a little test. I need about 300 hits (from different IPs) on a specific link in order to see what is shown in my web statistics. Nothing will be logged, I just want to know what will show up in my webstats. Click: http://www.freelunchdesign.com/thankyou.html?id=test&action=none You only need to click once. Multiple clicks wont make things better. I'll let you know how the test turns out after tomorrow when I get some clicks. Thanks! -- |

my_post_count++; [edit] I was just thinking... You know how everyone wants a high post count? Why not have a reviews count to encourage people to give reviews. It would also need to have ranks (i.e. 1st, 2nd etc.).

Somehow I missed the part about ranks in your post. That might be a bad idea though.. would lead to people giving reviews just for the sake of bringing up their rank... just the same way posting does, eh 23? "He who controls the stuffing controls the Universe" |

I don't think anyone here would stoop to the level of reviewing something they haven't ever played. Even if they were reviewing for the sake of increasing their review rank, they would still be reviewing. I'm sure it's a feature Mathew could add quite easily.

IMHO, a sloppy review isn't worth much reading. That type of system would lead to sloppy reviews. I love posting reviews. I have a ton over at ncix.com - 27 to be exact.. I wish the system here was a little better. Like a link on the project page instead of a side bar.. then show the best 3 or whatever on the project page. How about having a "I found this review useful" thing so other people can say whether or not they found your review useful. So then only your useful (i.e. more yeses then nos) reviews would count. Ok I admit: I'm being silly now.
