Wow. The end of your bearding came so soon.. so.. expectedly soon. ;)

Very hard to pick a favorite. There's lots of good ones. Mr. Bush, Elvis, and Captain Crunch would probably be in the top 3 imo ;D

That would make a good sig ;)

Interestingly, Peter Hull won't forgive me for bearding his beloved Bagpuss, even though it seems he will forgive me for forgetting he even exists. Go figure that one.

Ahh, nothing like cycling two or three miles to a twenty-four hour supermarket at three in the morning. ;D

Bagpuss is that funny blinking chap, right? If so I never saw the bearded one... how come it isn't included? :-/

Programming should be fun. That's why I hate C and C++.

I believe I do not, although Google turns up many hits for both. Is this like Aerith/Aeris, where there's a spelling for Japan and a spelling for America?

I'm going by the English version's instruction booklet, countless websites, the Square Soft site, my strategy guide, etc... Nyah.

Ah, fair enough. 8-) I'm so uncultured I don't know what most of them are :P

[EDIT]
Oh, um ... by the way ... are we allowed to beard our avatars now that you've stopped? ???

Dunno about the instructions, but my old FFVII strategy guide called Aeris "Aerith", I got lots of websites for both spellings (as I said) and Squaresoft's site could be fudging the spelling like everyone else too, or just using the English spelling and not the Japanese. Whichever, whatever ::)

Ben: I thought Bagpuss was a UK thing ...

Too late to ask now, from the look of it ::)

Ah! It's painfully obvious! Either the strategy guide itself or the person who typed it has a lisp!! (Or lithp.)
Nyah!!
Hahahahahaha! I'm the |/|4573r!!:P

[EDIT] I hope you're not reffering to my bearded Squall picture that I made in 3 seconds... [/EDIT]
[EDIT 2] I may use that... [/EDIT 2]
[EDIT 3] What the hell's "bagpuss"? [/EDIT 3]

Bruce Perry

For all I know, Bagpuss is a UK thing. Don't forget that I spent my entire youth in front of a computer, thus gaining extensive knowledge about programming but very little knowledge that's actually useful. The little knowledge I do have was acquired in the past year or two from beings I have encountered on IRC.

(Drastic exaggeration, but you take my point ;) )

I did ;)

Ask Peter Hull who Bagpuss is; apparently they're married. Richard Phipps knows too IIRC ...

As far as I know, 23yrold3yrold has never actually stolen an avatar or a gimmick from someone else (unless crazy_k's photo counts). I, on the other hand, stole the beard gimmick, stole the Dancing Duckies from Inphernic, and even cloned 23yrold3yrold at one point. So give 23 some respect! Banyaii! ´\o/`

I give him all the respect he deserves (he happens to know a lot more than me)...outside of the FF8 bashing of his ;). Just how close am I getting to flaming? I sorta want to avoid that...and while 23 hates FF8, and I like it mucho, there's bound to be some flames...;)

yeah, 23's hate for FF8 has grown over time ;)
Guess it's all the exposure it gets here.. with the talking of RPGs and such.. :)

I'm afraid you will be judged harshly in the great puppet afterlife for bearding bagpuss...

Somethings should never be attempted. ;)

(BTW: Bagpuss was a very good childrens programme - only about 6/8 episodes, but very cool)

However my favourite as a very small child was:

The Clangers!

There was a thread on GameDev a while ago; someone had a chance to buy either SaGa Frontier or FFVIII used, and he wanted to know which was better. Even the FF fans expressed their opinion that VIII was a low point for the series; no one recommended it.

Then the original poster came back and said he made a typo; he meant IX. He had VIII already and hated it too; barely played past the first disc ;D

hmmm... My Instruction booklet, the game its self (the PC ver, and PSX ver that I borrowed) all say AERIS. So suck it. ;P

Nah, I bet the Japanese version uses Aerith, juging by the differences in the Official FF6 and the retranslated version... ;D

I love them all, Chris. Although, my favorite is George Bush ;). That's probably the only time I'll ever have to say that. Unless someone asks me: "Who was your favorite stupid a$$ crackhead president?"

It does; that was my point :) Some people still insist that's here "real" name, though try saying both names. "Aerith" sounds like you have a mental deficiency ...
