Just finished watching The Man From Earth, it was pretty "meh" until the fairly interesting ending. I wonder what the production budget was?

They all watch too much MSNBC... they get ideas.

For the unspecified lazy ones: Budget $200,000(wiki).
Thanks for the other movies, I've 10 torrents limit/day, so on my next download spree I'll specify what added to downloads list..

"White Chicks" is also one of my favorite comedies, although I doubt anyone in here will like it, since it's quite politically incorrect for American standards. It's from the Wayans brothers. Unlike other Wayans attempts, this is watchable and very funny.

A few non-recent movies I've recently enjoyed:
Being John Malkovich
Being There
In the Mouth of Madness

Jesus Camp is good.

It sounded intriguing, so I skimmed through it last night. Wow.

A'right.. Nothing with Sandra Bull, but these look worthy downloading(and I'm doing it right now):

*Being John Malkovich
*Being There
*In the Mouth of Madness
*Clerks 2
*Fistful of Dollars
*Withnail & I
*Dead Mans Shoes

@axil
Saw White chicks..

@Arthur
I think I saw Fistful, but not sure.. But it sure does look like something worthy, despite it's age.

@Prolonged Ball
Couldn't find:
The King of Kong: Fistfull of Dollars
Waiting for Guffman

But downloading the other two, they look like nice movies. Thanks.

P.S:
I saw few first minutes of the Red Dawn. It isn't watchable without a 6 can of beer. I got an old friend whom I seldom see, but when we meet we typically laugh at some movie drinking beer. If he hasn't seen Red Dawn, we'll meet soon.

Silent paratroopers on a U.S. town without any sirens look like a good start of a good comedy.. Pilot's helmets on the paratroopers make it even more promising ;D

With the exception of Point Break, all Patrick Swayze movies are bleh!

When into the Clint Eastwood films, I really recommend Dirty Harry and all subsequent films (though the last one was weak in my opinion).

And also another gem from Stanley Kubrick: Doctor Strangelove, or how I stopped worrying and started to love the bomb

Recently the film The Fall of the Roman Empire was suggested to me. It falls under the class of an epic film I guess, (188 minutes). I really enjoyed it, so it might be worth a look.

Edit:
Oh and it has Alec Guinness in it, in a full cloak, see if you can watch it without screaming Obe-Wan at the TV.

Watched Clerks 2.. Weaker than first one, kinda of.. First one delivered some point of view regarding.. A layer of society, and in second I've barely seen any meaning. Also structure of the movies is too similar for it to be interesting for the second time..

Will download the above suggestions.

Indeed weaker, but there is meaning to it. The characters argue at rant about things that seem meaningless initially, but there is a hidden meaning about life's course, success, failures, relationships, etc. It's about reaching middle age.

Plus, Rosario Dawson is hot! :)

She doesn't qualify my waist requirements, but other than that she is.
Regarding the psychology.. Well, yeah.. Many of the actions the characters make, are actions with which I do not agree as the right thing to do, are still actions I very well understand and see the motives behind them- which is nice, no doubt.. Fairly rarely it's that bold in a movie.

You heartbreaker! She's crying her eyes out right now!

[EDIT]

I looked her up in Wikipedia, and when I saw "(born May 9, 1979)" I thought "OMG! Jailbait!" then I saw "(age 31)" and thought "NOOOO!!! Time is passing way too fast!"

Nah, I'm a good boy. I care about female hearts :P
And I'm sure she'll never know what I said about her waist :D

Hm, how old are you yourself Arthur, to be measuring time with age of girls around? ;)

I'm 53, and I was alluding to how time passes faster as you age. 1979 seems less than 20 years ago to me.

Agreed. And while the waist isn't visible, it's just purrfect ;)

It was clearly marked as an edit. Also, there seem to be different timescales in my mind, the reign of the i80486 seems to me to be as old as the presidency of John F. Kennedy somehow. (Yes, I do remember that)

You sound like you think that I blame you in doing something wrong. I don't have single case on A.cc when someone edited a post and said he hasn't written something he has, nor do I remember anyone accusing anyone in doing so.. Nor it is so this time :P

But a case when someone writes something, and adds something to their post but someone replying their old post- is damn common with myself. Well- not only :D

As of 486.. Well, it IS damn old. And Kennedy got killed, wasn't he? I think the same happened with Jesus Christ quite a while ago.
