This is beautiful work. Lovely documentation, web presence, you've crossed a lot of "t"s and dotted a lot of "i"s. What inclined you to put all this together?

And, probably more importantly, what results are you seeing in terms of engagement, users, etc?

what the hell... a remake of Sonic??... incredible...

You did a good job creating the game. I have seen the video, and it seems that you copied the mechanics of the game, disassembled it or did it yourself?

i'm still download the git. It well take hours.

Yes, it was a lot of work done throughout the years. My dream is to have this as one of the best libre games on the internet.

This is also a tool for creative expression. Something along the lines of Zelda Classic, Solarus, MUGEN.

The Allegro library has helped me a great deal. Not just because it's used in this game engine, but also because it was part of my growing up. I learned a great deal about programming with Allegro, and I had a lot of fun practicing with it.

We have a small community of fans who mod the game. They learn from each other and they have a great time modding, from what I can see. We're currently on Discord. The people who join and stay are generally sympathetic towards open-source.

Unfortunately it's still a bit difficult to find this game.

This is free and open-source software, and I wrote new code.

This looks incredible. Sonic-esque physics are something I've been wanting to do since I was tiny, so I will definitely be studying this source. :p
