Arthur is learning lots of things already. Today he learned that his stomach isn't a bottom-less pit, and if you overeat, bad things happen. He found out by barfing his lunch over my T-shirt.

We got up to elementary arithmetic tonight before he dozed off. Tomorrow we'll go into differential calculus.

You can find beschuit at a number of "world food" stores, and there is a Dutch Toko here that has muisjes (as well as decent cheese, Calvé peanut butter and hagelslag), although I actually brought them over on my last trip back to the Netherlands.
To everyone who doesn't know about this fine tradition, this treat is called "mice on toast". You can also get ground mice, but they're not traditional for this occasion.

The rules actually vary from country to country, just to make things interesting.
He'll be both: he's entitled to Canadian citizenship because he's born there, and he's entitled to Dutch citizenship because I'm Dutch (doesn't actually matter, because his mother is too, although she is originally from Belgium). The paper work is rather involved and there's no real rush to get the Dutch citizenship for him (we have the first seven years to sort it out) so we're getting the Canadian one first, and then try to sort out the Dutch one over Christmas.
