It's been my experience that they don't give a damn how many you have, it's really the other equipment located in that same general area that matters actually. On a serious note, most girls think programmers are bad-asses. wearetheborg hasn't noticed yet, but programming (especially game programming) is cool now. edit: My girlfriend plans to sit and watch me (aparently). I told her to bring a book though.

I spent a lot of time getting the precise details of the widescreen rule finalized, so somebody better implement it! It started off being a lot more restrictive, but it would have been no fun to implement. As it is now, it just means your game needs to support two different aspect ratios. That could be as simple as adding a fancy border around a 640x480 game. It should only take about 5 minutes to implement in the most basic way. Hopefully some people will have the initiative to use the space for something clever, that way I have an excuse to play the games on my 32" LCD TV. |
