I stumbled across something in the allegro docs that made me curious: --- |

I'm really not entirely sure, but I think they were refering to the PC rendition of the SNES Pad.. (Cuz I think it's called a SNES Pad still, isn't it?) "He who controls the stuffing controls the Universe" |

Ok, I typed these terms into google, followed the first link and found it... [url http://www.google.com/search?q=snes+pc+connect+lpt] What kind of search did you do? I mean... snes,pc,connect and lpt seem to be the obvious search terms.. -- |

With Linux you can connect alot of old Joy Sticks/Pads(COMADOR 64, NES, SNES, SEGA ..., PSX, N64...). You need to make a cable to conect to the pad and the port your going to use... and maybe add a power suply if the one coming from the port isnt anoth. Look in the Joystick section of a Linux kernel docs(they come with the kernel) it should tell you more. I dont know how allegro hanndels this on your platform though or even if it dose anymore. |

I've got a parallel port adapter for the SNES pad. It lets me connect two pads to a single parallel port. There are windows-based drivers, so it works wonderfully a standard DirectInput (?) device with Allegro. |
