I'd like to present "You can't repair bad", by "the QA team of doom" {"name":"612323","src":"\/\/djungxnpq2nug.cloudfront.net\/image\/cache\/d\/2\/d2ad5500215cf3e1240b700bbb578da7.png","w":1221,"h":830,"tn":"\/\/djungxnpq2nug.cloudfront.net\/image\/cache\/d\/2\/d2ad5500215cf3e1240b700bbb578da7"} The theme of the Game Jam was "Repair". We interpreted this as having to repair a broken game. You are a fresh QA tester and you have to test a broken game, until you get so frustrated that you are "game over". The game presents mazes that are unsolvable, unless you change the logic of the keycards from a hidden debug menu (accessible with ENTER or TAB). I'm particularly proud of the mazes that are completely randomly generated. Play online: http://amarillion.github.io/ggj2020 The game was written in JavaScript, using the Phaser engine This was my first time participating in the Global Game Jam, and I must say GGJ is a very different kind of experience. You're on a location (not online), in this case in Amsterdam, at Reaktor (https://globalgamejam.org/2020/jam-sites/reaktor-hq). You're face to face, there is a much heavier focus on team work. There is a much wider diversity of skills (not just programmers but also e.g. composers, sound designers, 3D artists) I'm happy how it turned out, given that it was a completely ad hoc team. -- |

That was... an interesting experience. I liked the randomly generated levels. I think the idea of fixing a broken game is good, although what's currently in the game is not super fun. But ignoring the game, it sounds like a great experience, I've never had an in-person jam. "For in much wisdom is much grief: and he that increases knowledge increases sorrow."-Ecclesiastes 1:18 |

To be honest, I'm happy we had a game at all Do you think the game would be more fun if I probably won't develop the game further, but if there is a small improvement I can make I'll still do it. -- |
