Who are you?

People are used to talk about allegro conventions that unfortunately are too hard to organise. I am curious about who the people around here are. For 95 % of them I would say I only know them by nickname.

The interest for an allegro convention shows that people are also interested in the people behind the nicknames. I know there are lots of you who love it to stay anonymous, and it is your good right to do that, but for the rest it would be interesting if you could post some pictures of you and your city you live in. I will do that as well when I get my new data cable for my digi cam.

edit: While waiting for your posts: I can't figure out why that doesn't work!

1 int sedateTileset( char *filename )
2 {
3 // Maybe it'll be useful to change these later on
4 #define TILEW 32
5 #define TILEH 32
6 // Let us use the standard Allegro functions for processing since
7 // these are easier to use and in the next step convert these to
8 // the Bitmap format OpenGL uses
9 BITMAP *bmp, *cutout;
10 // Even if we don't use a palette we should declare one
11 PALETTE pal;
12 // use a counter to store the tiles. More control and preventing
13 // getting over the size of the tileset
14 int count=0;
15
16 // let allegro choose which method to use - more work safe ;)
17 bmp = load_bitmap( filename, pal );
18
19 // use memory bitmap to process faster
20 // WARNING: POTENTIAL ERROR SOURCE!
21 cutout = create_bitmap( TILEW, TILEH );
22
23 // Cutting out tile by tile
24 for( int x=0; x<bmp->w; x+=TILEW )
25 for( int y=0; y<bmp->h; y+=TILEH )
26 // as long as there is space left, fill the set
27 if( count < SIZE_TILESET )
28 {
29 // from x, y to the temporary bitmap...
30 blit( bmp, cutout, x, y, 0, 0, TILEW, TILEH );
31
32 #ifdef SETRECTSINTS
33 rect(bmp,0,0,TILEW-1,TILEH-1, makecol(255,0,0));
34 #endif
35
36 // ...and convert:
37 cTileset[count].bmpBmp.Load( cutout );
38 // forward the counter
39 count++;
40 }
41
42 // now free the memory of the temporary bitmaps
43 destroy_bitmap( bmp );
44 destroy_bitmap( cutout );
45
46 return NULLONSUCCESS;
47 }

A.CC people look scary in photographs. :-/ [EDIT: No offense, X-G. I wrote this before seeing your post.]
How about everyone just draws a picture of themselves? ;)

I just took a photo of myself and resized it to 80x80. It's in my profile.

And my nick is my name.

Hey! I have found that on my HDD. That is what I am usually looking like when I am home alone ;)

I love wearing black shirts, don't ask me why :)

Resizing a real pic is a good idea...

Home alone? What the hell do you look like when your parents are around? Scary thoughts.

My pic is in my profile too, the freakish head growing out of my neck is the cat, that was taken a year ago though, I've since ditched the goatee and had some hair issues (the hair has grown back though, except on my chin :()

Is this a lame attempt to get the girls of a.cc to post even more pics of themselves?

No. But the idea isn't bad, indeed.

Crazy Photon: Did no one tell you that you have to hold the camera still when taking photos?

I'll post a picture of my workstation soon enough. I call it "Mount Bishop".

I don't like the idea of other people looking at pictures of me. It's creepy.

The face of a child can say it all, especially the mouth part of the face.

That is what everyone thinks. The more people post their pictures the easier it will be to post yours.

I can imagine that would be real scary.

You may want to check if it failed.

Trezker, don't you feel hot in summer?

Attached is a picture of how it looks like if I look out my window. The second part from the left stands out for some reason becasue I didn't bother to correct the colour balance...

I get very hot in the summer, but it has nothing to do with my hair.

I would be worried in your place. According to Discovery the head is supposed to be the hottest part. Maybe there's something wrong with you. Perhaps you're brain dead.
