Author's Description: Tough Terry is a simple First Person Shooter, that was created for the Allegro Raycasting Competition. The contest's goal was to create a game similar to Wolfenstein 3D or Doom. As it was the only entry to the competition, it won in all categories.
The game is very simple: Just kill all aliens in a level to proceed to the next one. Different graphic styles (house/jungle), special gadgets like a flashlight or infrared view and masses of enemies make this game fun to play.

The basis for the game was developed in 6 days. Since then, the game's target did not change. I collected the graphics from different free ressources. Changes were made in the usablity (controls), number of levels and fun factor ;). Also, in the original version, which can be downloaded on the homepage, the special gadgets were not included.

Public Opinion
Overall Rating: 5.3
  • 5Successful as what it is. But the problems are really annoying. I hope they get fixed soon.
  • 6This game only needs a little polishing for a better rating. The controls are excellent. I didn't like how the enemies move, though. The collisions of the player and enemies to the walls needs to be improved. Also, killing enemies should leave dead bodies.
  • 5Don't really know what to say about this game. I wasn't impressed the lack of animation. I.E. you kill an enemy and he simply dissapears. Maybe improvement here would make this game alot better. The weaponry is very nice, however. :)
