Make doesn't work properly.
My djgpp installation is fine, but make still doesn't work properly.

In windowed mode artifacts are left on the desktop when the window is moved or when another window is placed on top of it.

Are you sure that you are using the GNU make program, and not some other version like the Borland one? If in doubt, run make -v and check that the GNU copyright message is displayed.
