How could they even be close to a 1.0? Is the story mode finished? or does 1.0 not mean anything to Notch? -- |

Of course 1.0 means something to him: he can now start charging 20$ -- |

I read somewhere that the game is set for an actual, it's-really-finished release this year. So it will be interesting to see Notch's definition of "finished" and what will still need to be patched down the road. -- |

11.11.11 is scheduled for 1.0. It's got adventure mode, dragons, gates to Oblivion and most of Tamriel. ------------ |

You'd think, but as far as I know they don't even have a bug tracker. ----- |

A while back notch twittered/blogged that he really dislikes doing anything but working on new stuff, and would only be putting in 10-20% time to work on bugs. And I doubt he's even putting that much time in. -- |

Makes me wonder why he is even bothering with the game if he is only focusing on the new features and ignoring the bugs. MC may be a good game, but his programming and work ethic makes me wonder about how long Mojang will last. If you would rather work on new stuff and not fix bugs because it is not enjoyably then why bother making games or software because you would have to fix the bugs or risk introducing worst ones later because they just compound on the previous ones. This is just me, but I would think the other programmers on it would get tired of having to fix Notch's bugs and eventually leave Mojang or start a mutiny against him.

Nah, anybody will work on Notch-bugs if they are paid enough and Notch will never worry about what he is programming if he continues to bank on us. The mutiny would have to start with us. I'll do that right after I build my castle... ------------ |

So in other words, he's scarcely working at all? -- |

Hmm, the game has an actual ending now. The goal is to reach The End through a stronghold portal and kill the Enderdragon. ----- |

Maybe I'll just have to start playing it again then (after Skyrim, of course). -- acc.js | al4anim - Allegro 4 Animation library | Allegro 5 VS/NuGet Guide | Allegro.cc Mockup | Allegro.cc <code> Tag | Allegro 4 Timer Example (w/ Semaphores) | Allegro 5 "Winpkg" (MSVC readme) | Bambot | Blog | C++ STL Container Flowchart | Castopulence Software | Check Return Values | Derail? | Is This A Discussion? I hope the Enderdragon looks better than the Endermen. Any word as to when they will be releasing this? Heard rumors that it was going to be 11.11.11 (didn't believe it, kind of seemed too silly to release it then). Though a lot of games and movies came out that day.

Haha that's funny I think by tomorrow this 1.0 comes out. I really want wooden planks to be flammable and collectable via axe, and wool stairs/slabs would be awesome for the interior of house. append:I also get tired of my Felix-The-Ghoat name made by accident and paying $15 for it and looking to immediately change it, could not. |
