That was probably the map getting regenerated. I fixed a problem with the map where most markers were unclickable, although it's still not rendering some of the blocks that were added with the latest update.

Update: I've removed the multiverse plugin, because it's been causing too many problems, so BAF's world is inaccessible for now.

Yeah I lagged out around 11:08 PM CT I thought about posting it here, but I thought it'd be temporary. It was weird cause it was right when I attacked a green slime :B

Oh, hey I need to mention, I broke the sign above the ladders chest in the tools shed. I had no idea the sign was what made the chest infinite until I tried to put it back with the same text :/

I could never find a good place to build that didn't exist a million miles away from town for baf's server. I've not been on since. I've been updating MC but not been playing it any. It's sad, I have 31 games in Steam, 8 games in Impulse, MC, and tons of other games and haven't played much of any of them. Got all the end game stuff in Terraria (minus the magic stuff). Amazing how boring games are when you have no friends to play them with:/.

That's kind of a dick thing to say in this thread, don't you think?

No I could think of worse things to say that would be more screwed up than that. I think I actually started building in Baf's server and in one other one and then just stopped playing. As for having no friends, I have acquaintances on here and no friends in real life so that isn't messed up to say. The friends I did have left when I got married.

Personally I thought it was a dick thing to say that what Spector Phoenix said was a dick thing to say. :-/ WTF? >:(

It took me several reads to get it (being sleepy probably being the main reason :P), but yeah, ^ this.

I've found a stronghold!
Anyone who wants to check it out and pick up some iron bars or mossy/cracked stone brick, take the 1.8 Border Express from town, then follow the trail of torches into the desert on the right.

I tried to find your stronghold, but it seems all I found was a massive generated cave/mine system with a crapload of iron, coal, spiders and some gold.

And so far, I think the new bits in minecraft have made spelunking a lot easier. Before the health stuff, I'd have been dead a couple times over with how poorly prepared I was for that cave system.

Also, that /back command just saved me hours trying to find my way back out ;D

I think I managed to get a stack of iron in 30 minutes or so. Probably the best haul I've ever made (not including the one time I ran mineplump on a map and set the iron too high).

I started playing solo again a few days ago and recorded this video just a few minutes ago showing me going from original Spawn to my "Humble Fortress" and secret exit (not very secret now).

I got another stack of iron ore last night in about 40m. Not too shabby. Got some diamonds and gold out of the deal too. Big freaking ass cave system attached to the stronghold.

I've given in and I'm playing minecraft again. Is the new server mc.kentdev.net? I tried that and sticking 25565 on the end, but all I get is 'took too long to login'.

[edit]Ah, I was still on 1.7, seems every server in the world is now 1.8. pity it didn't give a nice error like 'wrong version' instead of server busy or socket error.

The client is supposed to auto update. Or at least give you the option of updating.

I don't play multiplayer much. Though I have Too Many Items installed on my local so I have all the stacks I want so I can build quickly and leave mining for later.

If there's no effort involved in getting materials, doesn't that make the game boring?

Quite. I once used MinePlump and things got very boring.

The response to the new Creative Mode should be interesting then ...

If all I was using it for was building stuff, then maybe its ok. But then I'd want a better interface than a funky FPS miner thing.

On the contrary, I added the mods because I got bored having to mine for materials. Truthfully, the game bored me within a couple of weeks after buying it. I hate that I wasted $20 on it but keep it in hopes that it becomes fun again. So far it hasn't, but this is the first time a map gave me building ideas, though I'm already bored with doing the idea within three days of starting it.

I still like exploring caves and fighting the baddies. Its a bit easier than it used to be, so I don't come so close to dying all the time, which makes it considerably less frustrating. Finding iron ore and diamonds in the caves is also kinda fun.

For a while now, I've been trying to construct a 3x3 map (nine in-game maps). It's taken forever, but with the bug going into 1.8, I've now got these giant oceans in my world that make it a little easier to explore. ;D

What bug? Ocean biomes were a deliberate addition in 1.8.

Outer pic of fortress while standing on top of main building. While digging out the inside of the mountain on the left I dug straight down and found an old mine shaft.

I've made my mob tower enderman-proof, so it's fully functional again now.
