My sphere is now centered around -115, 64, 98. All I have there at the mo' is a tower of dirt, but that's where I'm be setting up shop. From ground level to the sky, and probably a bit below ground too. Once I get more airborne I'll be expanding somewhat but I'll have lots of freedom from the look of it. I doubt anyone will build near others or purposefully wreck someone else's stuff anyway. EDIT: Construction well under way; almost a full double-chest worth of sand and the lower-half of Biosphere 2.0 is almost a third done ... will start working on the glass bits until my sugar-daddy can give me more sand. -- |

So, that's what I was talking about. Pick a direction, walk towards it for a day. I can give you a few whole chunks out there and you can do whatever you like with the space. -- Ryan Patterson - <http://cgamesplay.com/> |

But thats a pain in the ass, and I'd have to walk back and forth -- |

Yeah, I might do that tomorrow. Take a walk. But I'm having a fun time farming for wheat. Make some bread since its easier than looking for pigs. Its harder than it looks though. some plants don't even grow -- |

You can always change your spawn point with a bed, so if you die you won't have to walk all the way back out there. And, yes, rail system. We will need a good one eventually.

Well it's started lagging heavy, but I pushed hard to get the basic shape done. More plans and detail work coming later ... head to -115, 64, 98 on the server if you want to see ... {"name":"604131","src":"\/\/djungxnpq2nug.cloudfront.net\/image\/cache\/e\/f\/efc04325d1c83f5d28cb50f93415fe83.png","w":854,"h":485,"tn":"\/\/djungxnpq2nug.cloudfront.net\/image\/cache\/e\/f\/efc04325d1c83f5d28cb50f93415fe83"} -- |

So, is BAF's server still running or is everyone jumping ship to cgamesplay? I tried both at the weekend and failed to log in to either. Eventually I got onto cgamesplay (not BAF's) and reserved a little plot for myself. Neil. wii:0356-1384-6687-2022, kart:3308-4806-6002. XBOX:chucklepie |

Much thanks to the material supplies, btw. Even after CGamesPlay gawking at my sand use and giving me 1024 sandstone blocks, I still had to grab two more stacks to complete it. BTW, am I the first to post this one? REVISION: I like how my sphere looks on the map. -- |

I've started constructing a tower at 75, 25, with a mine nearby as well.

Above or below ground? I think I finally have enough iron to make a track from the spawn point to my area Also, I've noticed that the map at mc.cgamesplay.com occasionally likes to shuffle the order of some chunks. According to it, the path to my area suddenly trades places with a hill for about 16 blocks ----- |

kdevil said: Above or below ground? I think I finally have enough iron to make a track from the spawn point to my area Below. I'm building a station in the marketplace. It has one exit track and one entrance track. Destinations will be chosen by switch points that I have yet to build, but basically it will be an unpowered powered rail and a bendy track. A button on the left will turn on the powered rail and send you left, and a button on the right will turn on the powered rail and switch the bendy track, sending you to the right. We can put multiples of these along the railway to give different destinations. I'll build the station in the marketplace (I have some design ideals I want to follow). If you build a station, I will run tracks to it. The only requirement is that it has an incoming rail and an outgoing rail. Also, since I am American, the outgoing rail is the one on the right. This is not the station I'm building, but I'm taking a lot of ideas from it. -- Ryan Patterson - <http://cgamesplay.com/> |

http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2011/05/19/notch-working-on-minecraft-sky-dimension/ Apparently, there will be some sort of sky dimension in Minecraft, and while that's all great and seems like a shitton of fun, I really would not object to Notch fixing all the fucking bugs in the game first. Or simultaneously. --------- |
