You people always have to complain and nitpick. I, for one, believe this offer to be an excellent bargain. [FMC Studios] - [Caries Field] - [Ctris] - [Pman] - [Chess for allegroites] |

It is, normally you'd get one game for that price --- |

Nobody pays that much for one old game. Maybe when they were new they got that much, but you can probably find most of them in the bargin bin for $5-$10. 8 games there you have to pay for, maybe less. If you can find them for an average of $8 that's $64, which isn't bad. |

GTA, GTA2, and Wild Metal (???) are all free. The rest are between $8 and $20 on Steam. Go ahead and try to find them in stores... I've been wanting to get GTA3 again for months. I've tried to find it and I couldn't. This is really a pretty sweet deal. In store I'd expect to pay $20-30 for each of the 7. -- acc.js | al4anim - Allegro 4 Animation library | Allegro 5 VS/NuGet Guide | Allegro.cc Mockup | Allegro.cc
Tag | Allegro 4 Timer Example (w/ Semaphores) | Allegro 5 "Winpkg" (MSVC readme) | Bambot | Blog | C++ STL Container Flowchart | Castopulence Software | Check Return Values | Derail? | Is This A Discussion? I wonder if I'll prefer GTA:SA on PC or PlayStation... With that said, I could swear I've seen new things happening and heard new pedestrian comments while playing GTA:SA on my PlayStation 3...
It's been a while since I've played so it's also possible that I just forgot... -- acc.js | al4anim - Allegro 4 Animation library | Allegro 5 VS/NuGet Guide | Allegro.cc Mockup | Allegro.cc
Tag | Allegro 4 Timer Example (w/ Semaphores) | Allegro 5 "Winpkg" (MSVC readme) | Bambot | Blog | C++ STL Container Flowchart | Castopulence Software | Check Return Values | Derail? | Is This A Discussion? I wonder why nobody is releasing GTA: London 1969 for free? They've been giving away GTA and GTA 2 for at least a couple years now... They don't even include it in this bundle... ================================================= |

I played GTA3 on a PC and a PS2, and unless they changed the control scheme for GTA:SA PS3 from the GTA3 PS2 one, (which would essentially mean "replaced the controller with a mouse"), the PC version should be much better. Quote: I wonder why nobody is releasing GTA: London 1969 for free?
I wondered the same thing myself when I saw the list of games here. ---- |

I'm pretty comfortable shooting with a PlayStation controller. I prefer with a mouse, but I can manage just fine with a PlayStation controller. For the record, GTA:SA was a PS2 game that I'm playing on my PS3. I expect the shooting to be a lot easier on PC, but the driving and camera controls will probably be worse or at least less precise. -- acc.js | al4anim - Allegro 4 Animation library | Allegro 5 VS/NuGet Guide | Allegro.cc Mockup | Allegro.cc
Tag | Allegro 4 Timer Example (w/ Semaphores) | Allegro 5 "Winpkg" (MSVC readme) | Bambot | Blog | C++ STL Container Flowchart | Castopulence Software | Check Return Values | Derail? | Is This A Discussion? If you don't mind the horrible horrible torture that is "aiming with a playstation controller", then you'd probably like the PS version better, I guess. The driving and camera controls are a bit uncomfortable on a PC (though I got used to those very fast [unlike the horrible horrible torture that is "aiming with a playstation controller" {do you see a pattern? Maybe you should decide that "driving is better with a controller and shooting is better with a mouse, therefore I will use both simultaneously" Ooh! How about getting one of those force-feedback driving wheels and pedals, that's smart use of your money ---- |

The driving and camera controls are a bit uncomfortable on a PC..., since the camera is a bit unruly if you ever decide to move it while driving (which I rarely do), and the driving controls are a bit too sensitive until you get used to them. Console gamers get used to shooting with a controller. A mouse has it's advantages shooting, but a PlayStation controller has advantages driving (and operating a camera while driving) and is still very adequate when shooting. Typically I use the camera to look ahead of me by shifting the camera above the car. It's extremely useful when you're going uphill and want to know what's head of you (stationary objects, traffic, etc.). I never put hydraulics on my cars because in GTA:SA the hydraulics take over the camera controls (which is the best control scheme possible, but you lose control of the cameras for the most part). -- acc.js | al4anim - Allegro 4 Animation library | Allegro 5 VS/NuGet Guide | Allegro.cc Mockup | Allegro.cc
Tag | Allegro 4 Timer Example (w/ Semaphores) | Allegro 5 "Winpkg" (MSVC readme) | Bambot | Blog | C++ STL Container Flowchart | Castopulence Software | Check Return Values | Derail? | Is This A Discussion? GTA isn't a first-person shooter and the combat isn't as fast paced as one. That said, UT is for n00bs. You wanna have an fps competition it's Counter-Strike: Source and for that I will be using a mouse and keyboard. -- acc.js | al4anim - Allegro 4 Animation library | Allegro 5 VS/NuGet Guide | Allegro.cc Mockup | Allegro.cc
Tag | Allegro 4 Timer Example (w/ Semaphores) | Allegro 5 "Winpkg" (MSVC readme) | Bambot | Blog | C++ STL Container Flowchart | Castopulence Software | Check Return Values | Derail? | Is This A Discussion? Steering with the analog stick is way easier. And walking. And cycling. And anything else. But when it comes to aiming. Sheeesh! I hate aiming in the PS2. But a lot of games, no, most of the games that are for PS2 don't need aiming and the dualshock is perfect for movement. In capitalist America bank robs you. |
