Aparently there is a place in Austria named "F*cking".

This is the most frequently stolen sign (according to wikipedia):
{"name":"280px-Fucking%2C_Austria%2C_street_sign.jpg","src":"\/\/djungxnpq2nug.cloudfront.net\/image\/cache\/7\/f\/7f2a1e6a195f877365032ebfcbd4c593.jpg","w":280,"h":383,"tn":"\/\/djungxnpq2nug.cloudfront.net\/image\/cache\/7\/f\/7f2a1e6a195f877365032ebfcbd4c593"}280px-Fucking%2C_Austria%2C_street_sign.jpg

F*cking, Austria

Any other fun city names that were being hidden from me? ;D

We have village called Aa in Estonia. Also, we have Paris, Norway* and some other villages here :)

*) Of course they are not spelled in English but in Estonian but their spelling is exactly the same as the real things.

We have a Vulcan here in Alberta. To capitalize on thier name, they built a big model of the enterprise (pre D), and have StarTrek themed things.

I love it. All of it. I don't even get why it's funny to name something "Aa," but I still love it.

The Susan one was the funniest so far!

I know village called in Czech "Pičín", which (the core of the word) is not gentle description of womens genitals - so it's some kind as the F***ing joke above.

I am Austrian and I don't think that it is pronounced differently than you might think.

Heh, this town is actually not that far from where I live, and I was once very tempted to steal the sign myself. On second thought, however, it wasn't that funny anymore to risk going to jail for.

There are a bunch of town names in Austria you might find amusing, especially in places where the Celts resided long time ago (because they liked to end their town names with "ing"), but F*cking is by far the most popular, I realize. :D

That's a good one. I remembered another village here. "Řitka" which is diminutive for buttocks.

Am I the only one who doesn't find Fucking funny anymore? OK, when it was first on TV five or so years ago, it was a little bit funny. The next year it was funny to people who missed it the first time. After that it stopped being funny for everyone...

Yes, village signs in Austria can be funny: Once I was in a very small village called "Dörfl", which simply means "village".

And I cycled through another one called "Dreizehn" ("Thirteen").

Why? You are going to jail for taking shots of signs?!?!? :o

That's right! There's a town named Celovec in Austria, but the sign says Klagenfurt. And another one is called Beljak, but the sign says Villach. And then there are many more like that!

I seen a reference to somebody (or several somebodies) named "Lion Kuntz" a couple weeks ago, after I googled for the name he's apparently a real person...

"They said they wouldn't steal my wallet again while giving me another b.j.! Lion kuntz!"

They all watch too much MSNBC... they get ideas.

"Dirt Road".

I used to live off an avenue named 'Street Road' and my grandmother lives at the intersection of Marigold St. and Marigold St. in Huntington, Indiana.
