But if you feel better by believing that I had always bad feeling towards you, well, go on.

I dont take the internet seriously. I cannot understand how people can actually hate one another over the net. So, no.

Well other people do. But it seems you don't respect their opinions. Hence they will not be happy with you. Then you will be banned. It that what you want? Why don't you try to make friends?

Back on topic:
I like the tiles, they have a nice 8bit feel.
I think the grass in the 2nd image is a bit to noisy. It's hard to concentrate on anything because my eye doesn't find a focus.

Fair enough.

Ontopic: I like the first mockup, but maybe the trees are a little too red.
However people can always change them to suit.

Yeah, I don't like the snow one much. The water in the first looks quite cool though :).

Can we please ban Yves again?

I second the notion.

Yves, it's all very well expressing your opinions, but it's the pointless posts that are annoying. Like:

if i dont like, why would i use them?...

Maybe we could use a few of these tiles in KQ. :)

EDIT: Sonuva b*tch, people.

I always read of people wanting free tiles (on this and other forums) so I'm sure they'll come in handy for someone...my RPG uses pre-rendered 3D backdrops so I wont be wanting them.

The tiles remind me of older QBasic games.

I like the tiles, anyway... they have a nice console-ish feel. Kinda like the original final fantasy...

I'd prefer if they were all on one sheet though. :( The tiles, anyway ...

You call that programers art? No. Programers art is stickmen drawn in Paint, or using allegro's primitive drawing functions (ala: hline, rect) to do graphics :P

Pah. You call that programmer art. This is real programmer art.

Angel Child: I second 23rg's suggestion for sheets.

Nice old school style, but what's with the green skin?

Haha! No mate, thats s*it art! You cant judge a programmers skill by how crap his/her art is, but you can call me the man because not only am I a coder but also a damn fine artist! :P

Uh.. Way to use povray ::)

You can judge thier ART skills though.. yeesh. But that screen that guy showed with boxes and what not, that is the deffinition of programmers art. Even the big name game makers start off with such art.

colour blind artist.. wow, that's like a deaf pianist ;D

I use carl's type of art for the module creation. Then replace them with programmers art or placeholders when the module is integrated into the rest of the system.

Heh, so am I. I used to have green skin in my old games ;D. I was fine as soon as I started setting my own RPG values though. I also used to have pink water and sky. - Magic pink (255,0,255) looks almost the same colour as sky blue to me.

Fjellstrom: I have never used Povray in my life, and no that isn't a good defintion of programmers art, its a definition of a programmer who cant draw for s*it.

I didn't say it was good. I said it is THE deffinition of "Programmers Art" Now, you seem to be an artist as well. Most of us arn't. Hence the reason for "Programmers Art".

You sure that wasn't povray? well it was some raycaster or 3d modeler. nothin to really write home about.

Nevertheless it was art, and I'm a programmer, so it was programmers art.
