So I'm finally breaking down and I'm working on my desktop. I'm running OpenSUSE Tumbleweed KDE Live and I'm going to clone my old XP drive onto a new boot SSD and then I'm going to repartition it with GParted.

Can anyone guide me on this little journey? I've just rediscoverd the SATA cable and I'm hooking up my SSD now. I've got a DVD drive that I'm running OpenSUSE off of.

Question is, can anyone guide me how to clone the XP drive onto the SSD using dd?

Second, can anyone help me make sure it boots properly once I've cloned it?

EDIT
Turns out I need a Molex to Sata power adapter cable. Have to order it I guess. Just ordered 2. Be here in 2 days. :/ Have to wait now.
