Just because it animates doesn&#39;t mean you should shove &quot;animation&quot; of some manglified sort into the name (I personally find complicated-spelling manglification of names a bad idea). My simplest suggestion for you is to call it: <b>Pencil</b>. Unfortunately, the word pencil brings in a wild 53,800,000 hits on Google, so you might want something more original. Since it does more than just draw things like a thin pencil, it also lets you animate via a succession of frames. This lends the name <b>PencilStrip</b>.</p><p>Some other basic names:
</p><ul><li><p>Flow</p></li><li><p>Flipbook</p></li><li><p>Frames</p></li><li><p>Sketcher</p></li></ul><p>

That said, I don&#39;t think &quot;Frame Editor&quot; is particularly bad. Of course, having editor in the name might be a bit much, but it gets the basic idea around. You might consider <i>Framer</i> instead of <i>Frames</i>, above.

		<description><![CDATA[<div class="mockup v2"><p>Yeah, using the java 1.5 jvm (1.5.0_06) on my AMD64 3400+ (32 bit winXP mode, 768MB ram) the drawing portion of the gui seems to be a little bit less responsive than what I would consider desirable.</p><p>Actually, I just closed the program and opened it again, it is working just fine now.  Strange... windows must be doing something weird in the background (as usual <img src="http://www.allegro.cc/forums/smileys/rolleyes.gif" alt="::)" />).

It&#39;s probably Java. I have similar issues with DrJava, where sometimes it&#39;s slow to the point that typing is difficult. Other times it&#39;s perfectly fine!? Bloody AWT/Swing.
