mp3 player for dos
, by Yogesh M
this is the screenshot of the mp3 player I have coded for DOS. It shows the powerfull play list, It has a song selecter similar to that of xmms, no space to add it though. the screenshot is using 8 bit color theme.
Actually the game and mp3 player looks like a application on windows[doesnt it?] giving no clue that allegro has been used ;-)
You said you coded it for DOS, but Dev-C++ is in the background. MingW is incapable of making DOS executibles. One could hypothesize that you got Dev-C++ to work with DJGPP, but a Window was opened, and you can't do that in DOS. - gillius
I agree with gillius in that the screenshot appears to be of a Windows application.
However: if, as the screenshot _seems_ to indicate, that the mp3 player is part of Bolitaire, then it might be available on DOS. (Bolitaire has a port to DOS, which you can see/download from his website.) It appears to me that the MP3 features (which seem to come from AllegroMP3, a library available in the Libraries section of this site) are in a future release. You can listen to music while playing FreeCell, to sum it up. - Roy W
This section is only available to registered Allegro.cc members.
