Since we already had several art collection threads here (closed by now, of course ) I thought I start a new one showing the status of my latest non-programming project. I hope I can use this gem in my D&D sessions soon

The base platform and the rocks are from XPS foam; the tree stem itself is made of a cardboard role, wrapped with aluminum foil and sealed with glue from a glue gun. The branches and roots are also made of aluminum foil sealed by hot glue. The mushrooms are simply drops of hot glue covered with paint.

I recently obtained a 3D printer, so I've been 3D printing things (all designed by me).

A webcam mount (I built this webcam a year or so ago from RaspberryPi etc... the case was also 3D printed, but with a 3rd party service).

Well I had this interesting thing pop up . I was converting a tilemap to use a different vertex definition. My development environment is setup to run tests after each save, and this is one of the windows that popped up showing the test result. Looks neat

I make knives and other bladed items on the side. I even manage to sell some once in a while.

The way I do it is upload the attachment as normal and submit the post. Then I edit the post, right-click the attachment and get the actual url which is *.cloudfront.net/attachments/1234 url, and use that in the post. If you use the allegro.cc/files/attachment/1234 url from the initial upload form, it won't work for some reason. The attachment has to be sent to cloudfront before it's valid.

A good camera will cost around $500 minimum. You want the largest possible optical zoom, and as many megapixels as you can get, especially for HD video.
