I've written a game using Allegro 5, I'm looking to create a standalone exe I can send to friends. I've worked with advanced installer, but don't get the desired results. Can someone provide me the specific steps to accomplish this. Thank you. |

First you need to tell us what compiler you're using, then we can tell you how. The key is to static link on Windows, and to bundle .so s on Linux. Yeah, static linking on Windows is what you want. I'm always gonna recommend AppImages on Linux, as some of the static libraries can be difficult to get hold of. For Mac, you've got .app bundles, but creating these can be a bit of a pain. See this wiki article. ______________________________________________________ |

The Allegro Nuget package has a static linking option. That'll produce a standalone executable. "For in much wisdom is much grief: and he that increases knowledge increases sorrow."-Ecclesiastes 1:18 |

I interpreted the question that he was looking for a standalone installer/executable. I've never used an installer so don't know. |
