DrakenKaput 2

This was a gift for Elias, who requested something involving music and instruments. The music is dance of the plum fairy, by Tchaikovsky and the instrument is the body bells (in the style of this and this). Obviously it's a reference to Drakengard as well. Here's a link to the development logs.

I loved the visuals in this, but the gameplay was way too challenging for me to comment. I was more or less just flailing about the keyboard...

Finally had a chance to try it out. After a bit of practice I manged to get this:

{"name":"612280","src":"\/\/djungxnpq2nug.cloudfront.net\/image\/cache\/e\/8\/e8516fb3a6c94c543418d5652967a9f2.png","w":1920,"h":1080,"tn":"\/\/djungxnpq2nug.cloudfront.net\/image\/cache\/e\/8\/e8516fb3a6c94c543418d5652967a9f2"}612280

Mainly by focussing on the top two bells, and ignoring the bottom two. There is a penalty for hitting the wrong bell, but there doesn't seem to be a penalty for skipping a ring. So you can make it easier for yourself by just focusing on one or two colours.

I concur that the visuals are nice, and it looks interesting from a technical perspective. I'm glad you included the sources. I'll definitely study them and learn to use some of the good bits :)

edit: apart from the Dragon, I don't really see much relation with the original Drakenkaput that you linked. Or am I overthinking this???

Well, Drakenkaput is a loose reference to Drakengard (a game), and Drakenkaput 2 borrows Drakengard's final boss design. It made sense in my head, hah.

I see it now. I have never played Drakengard so this reference went way over my head!
