About Space

This is an entry based on my own and GullRaDriel's wishlist: a space racing game with a ship editing component.

It's well done and polished, and ... HARD !

I could win everything up to second place for the basic circuit, and no win at all in the complex one.

I need that additional booster !

That aside, a nice, good entry.

Wow, this game is amazing! I can't win the 4th level though, even with the extra parts from making second place :/

[edit:]

Finally! I won!! Had to design the ship for quick collision recovery more than anything :)

I'll play when I get time, still working on my own Krampus game.

EDIT
Haven't had time to play it quite yet, so I'm bumping this thread. ;P

EDIT2
Great little game. Nice to build your own ship, but its pretty hard, both to figure out the best way to build your ship, and to race and get the hang of the controls. Pretty cool!

EDIT3
I wish it didn't 'think' for me. There are basically 8 directions, but I just want thrust and turn mechanics.

The 'tank controls' is the typical choice for this sort of game, but I wanted to try an alternate control scheme. I actually think it was okay, but the 8 directions are certainly limiting and it would have worked better if I had time to add joystick controls.

The directional thrust is a good idea. Just not my favorite.

The only other thing I will say is that it is easy to get lost. If I had a better overview of the course I could make a better curve out of my path through it. I can never remember which way at the bottom of the last course...

I can't seem to get better than 3rd in the 4th course. :///

I like the art style. reminds me of 90's / late-90's RTS games.
