Or other social media accounts if you prefer. https://www.youtube.com/user/Novous I don't have many user videos. But I'm actually planning on it and getting ready for them in the near future! I've also got some long running lists of interesting videos I've found on YouTube. I'm a bit of a "historian" (or link-hoarder if you'd prefer). I like to catalog anything I come across. -----sig: |

Hey Chris! Good idea! Don't have many videos either, a lot of them are Allegro stuff related though. Mine are: I'll subscribe to this thread to add all of you, follow back, and grow our networks! Defender of #MadeWithAllegro ___________ |

My motovlogs go here: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCi5E2FsJWEgESxwuhh8LBXQ Unfortunately not a pretty URL or unique name. I have mostly Counter-Strike demos at my original channel: https://www.youtube.com/user/bamccaig I shied away from that because it was too identifying (not that I'm all that secretive on my new channel). I have a SoundCloud account that doesn't see enough use. https://soundcloud.com/bambams-1 I also have a Diaspora account, but I haven't really figured that out yet and I do try to keep that one somewhat anonymous. -- acc.js | al4anim - Allegro 4 Animation library | Allegro 5 VS/NuGet Guide | Allegro.cc Mockup | Allegro.cc <code> Tag | Allegro 4 Timer Example (w/ Semaphores) | Allegro 5 "Winpkg" (MSVC readme) | Bambot | Blog | C++ STL Container Flowchart | Castopulence Software | Check Return Values | Derail? | Is This A Discussion? I'm not sure why, but this video is always being watched: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D3bF8rcv-s4 I understand when I uploaded why it was popular, but to still be my number 1 watched video when I randomly look at my stats for a given range (whatever the default setting is at the time I look at the stats) is a bit nuts. --- |

Since making videos has essentially been my job for years now, be prepared for over TWO HUNDRED videos when visiting my channel: https://www.youtube.com/user/Pixelmusement Also, since I primarily do a DOS gaming show, I figured it might be a good idea to have an alphabetical list of the games I've covered too. You can check that out on my website: http://www.pixelships.com/adg/index2.html --- Kris Asick (Gemini) |

These are currently my top 3 videos by views and "watch time" (not necessarily in this order for both): Honorable mentions: Insert: My newest motorcycle motovlog is possibly my best work yet and gaining traction: There's one new video series of a snow storm that just happened to show you the difference between then and now. I didn't think I had so many views. My original channel has almost 2000 additional views and over 4000 additional "minutes watched". My most watched video from there is this (which might have more to do with being 3 years old than being better than the rest, but I digress): -- acc.js | al4anim - Allegro 4 Animation library | Allegro 5 VS/NuGet Guide | Allegro.cc Mockup | Allegro.cc <code> Tag | Allegro 4 Timer Example (w/ Semaphores) | Allegro 5 "Winpkg" (MSVC readme) | Bambot | Blog | C++ STL Container Flowchart | Castopulence Software | Check Return Values | Derail? | Is This A Discussion? I have some interesting (IMO) gaming videos. Some advice for you all that have videos, you will get more views with custom thumbnails (in my experience x3 more even on older videos if you just update the thumbnail) I think I will have to update all my public videos before uploading new ones. |

Don't post thumbnails that don't exist in the video. -- acc.js | al4anim - Allegro 4 Animation library | Allegro 5 VS/NuGet Guide | Allegro.cc Mockup | Allegro.cc <code> Tag | Allegro 4 Timer Example (w/ Semaphores) | Allegro 5 "Winpkg" (MSVC readme) | Bambot | Blog | C++ STL Container Flowchart | Castopulence Software | Check Return Values | Derail? | Is This A Discussion? I agree, I guess I should explicitly say I meant thumbnails that add headers/text to a representation of the video. That first video is an automated thumbnail I haven't gotten around to updating. The second is a collage of three different scenarios present in the video along with text. This is not misrepresenting the content but I am familiar with what you are talking about on other videos people put absurd stuff just to bait you that doesn't accurately represent the content. This post is from a mobile device so sorry if it looks trashy |

I'm familiar with what you are talking about too as I follow a few guys who do just that. One content creator I watch uses thumbnails of half naked women and is just him ranting for 10 minutes or so about whatever the topic is while sitting in front of the camera. I think the Philip DeFranco channel does this from time to time too.

Bruce Perry said: And you're following this person because...? It's entertaining to see how wrong they are. For example, one rants about twitch girl gamers. His logic is that if they show cleavage they are just wanting attention and not a real gamer. He uses thumbnails of different attractive women to get views, but the videos are Let's Play footage with him doing his rants over them.

Hardly any. Patreon on the other hand... ...and no, it's not livable. That's why I've got other things in the works. Crazy thing is though, I only need to be like, three or four times more popular and it actually could be livable. A couple other video producing colleagues I've spoken with or collaborated with have numbers which put mine to shame. --- Kris Asick (Gemini) |

I've been programming with Allegro for the past few days, on account of the stickers and the 5.2 release. I'm considering putting together a few Introductory-level videos sometime before TINS. I have 3 channels, only two have videos. There are a lot of time (+1 year) since the last one. I have not time/motivation enough to follow it, but I want to some day. This one is about me playing stuff. Also, I show a few of my latest game tries, as Momen3D: This other one is about me talking about video making. I did a music video for my nephew's death-metal band that looked like that: They liked it, so they want another one and I created that vLog, but there were problems (the band doesn't exists right now The last channel doesn't has activity right now. It will be the official channel of the game studio I created few time ago. ----------------- |
