Minecraft Redstone circuits. Clock?

I don't want to hijack the main Minecraft thread, as this isn't really a general Minecraft question, but a circuit design question in Minecraft.

I've been fooling around with the redstone and circuits in Minecraft, making the basic logic gates and such.

I've got a circuit that gives out a regular pulse. I got it from's Redstuff circuits page, which calls it a 5-clock. This thing:

With that basic, regular pulse I hope to design a clock. For the output I'd like to have four redstone torches, with only one being active at a time to indicate the time of day, being either noon, dusk, midnight, or dawn.

This idea goes a bit beyond my abilities, though. I'd struggle just to design a full-adder. I can't get schematics for various gates and simple things from the Minecraft forums and wiki, but I'm not sure how to combine them into what I want.

I guess I'm just looking for some help, maybe someone can point me in the right direction here? In the meantime, I'm gonna go give that full-adder a try.

I barely witnessed it. I was half asleep at the time. At first I thought he had fallen out of bed, but then I slowly realized that he had, in fact, just jump-kicked his way into consciousness.

“Throughout history, poverty is the normal condition of man. Advances which permit this norm to be exceeded — here and there, now and then — are the work of an extremely small minority, frequently despised, often condemned, and almost always opposed by all right-thinking people. Whenever this tiny minority is kept from creating, or (as sometimes happens) is driven out of a society, the people then slip back into abject poverty. This is known as "bad luck.”
