Short-track speed skating is the only thing worth watching during Winter Olympics. The Koreans were 1-2-3 going into the final turn, when they knocked themselves out trying to pass each other. ;D

Apolo Ohno (USA) takes silver (his sixth career Olympics medal) and John Celski (USA) takes bronze! Canada fails to place despite getting a free spot in the finals.

And what was up with that lame opening day ceremony? Canadians cannot even light a torch!

GO USA!!!!!

;D

Chicago 2016!

~

Update:

USA takes gold and bronze in women's moguls! Has Canada ever won a gold in anything?

Go USA!!!!!

Has Canada ever won a gold in anything?

Only in sports that matter.

The only sports that matter are pepsi-chugging contests, thumb wrestling and indoor "sports". India seems to lead the latter catagory.

[EDIT]
The more I look at my new avatar, the more I think somebody else on allegro.cc had it first?

If it weren't for the images in Google, I wouldn't even know there's Winter Olympics going on.

Yes, it looks familiar... but it may be just because I was recently on Wikipedia's article for Conway's game of life.

I'm from Chicago and I can affirm to any of you that anything massive in a city in terms of spectacles would turn into a riot. If you think I'm bullshit, check out the news from the Bulls Dynasty wins in 1992, 1993, etc!

There is a reason why the summer Olympics were lost to Brazil!

It cannot be any worse than the mayhem in Vancouver right now! Violent Canadian protesters are smashing windows and destroying vehicles.

USA may have to send in some armed forces to save the games. :-/

Video of the short-track event.

Final turn:

The shorter races are even better in terms of crashes and random winners. 8-)

I've always wondered if the Olympics have an outcome that is paid for and sponsored by big corporate names. In other words, that win is completely bogus.

Short-track speed skating is the only thing worth watching during Winter Olympics.

I thought so too, until I saw Homer and Marge in the mixed curling event last night.

I've never heard of Apolo Ohno before the short-track events started a few days ago. I now look up to him (because he's awesome) and short-track is now a new favorite sport to watch. Go Apolo :D

Sounds like he did a Bradbury, as we say here. Looks like he learnt a valuable lesson from last time eight years ago.
