Hey guys. Remember this from TINS 2020? Well, it's a full damn game now! Here are some screenshots, which for some reason a.cc won't let me get into img tags.
In contrast to the one-hit-you're-dead weirdness that was Flower Follies, this has human-designed levels (92 of them) and you have to race against the clock. It's pretty twitchy, and quite speedrunner-friendly; you can beat the entire thing in under 10 minutes if you've met certain conditions
Some of you gave it a go back when I posted the demo at the beginning of the year, so expect to see your names in the credits!
It's also on Steam, but Valve haven't approved it yet. Once they've done that we'll chuck some Steam keys on Itch too.
Nice effects in the trailer! Don't have time to play it yet, but I'll be sure to take it for a spin!
Reminds me a bit of Commander Keen!
Well done getting it to an actually finished game !
I like the old school effects it's having. Good luck with the sales :-)
Ha thanks both - getting it released has been rough, it's great to see it actually up there. Things that annoy me now include the Steam API and Apple's notarisation procedure.
On the subject - it's going live on Steam later today!
Would be cool to see a speedrun on youtube.
So far, I managed to stumble to world 4-5.

Amazing - thank you! If 4-5 is where you've got to, you're about to have some "fun" with a certain boss.
Proud moment because it's first commercial game that started life during a TINS game jam!
Didn't know this! Quite the honour
Congratulations, that’s a huge achievement and it looks super polished, I’ll be sure to mention in it in conversations with people I know that love this sort of thing, top work.
A game! 🦃

High praise! Cheers

Ha yeah, I'm surprised too.
I've downloaded and played quite a bit. It's great to see someone has finished a game recently.
It's activated my curiousity ;
I'd like to know if it could have been made using allegro 5.
I'd like to know if all the sound effects used in the game came from Godot because I'm looking for some sound effects for a program I'm writing.
I love all the colours used in the game. Bravo commes en dis en francais.
Haha, thanks. Hours spent slaving over the GIMP colour picker.

Yes, I don't doubt this at all - it just would've taken a lot longer.

With a couple of exceptions, they were mostly made in FL Studio - lots of kicks+snare+EQ combinations and Sytrus synths. Same goes for the music.
Great. Thanks for the info
<edit> About the sound effects : not as easy as I thought! </edit>
What does Godot provide that allegro lacks?
Also, I'm very clumsy and not very good at this game. ;P
What does Godot provide that allegro lacks?
Quite a lot, though it's more analogous to something like Unity. Much more heavyweight, includes a visual editor, etc. so definitely not a fair comparison imo.

Oh, mate, it's easy, you just have to jump and stuff.

Just what everyone has been waiting for. Welp. There goes the neighborhood.

Bwuahahaha, lmao
