Hi,

can anyone help me do an audio capture with Audacity ?

I've been listening to bassdrive (an internet radio station someone recommended here a long time ago).

I'd like to be able to record it to an mp3 file.

I get this error message :

Error while opening sound device.
Please check the input device settings and project sample rate.

I'd be so pleased if someone could help me get it so I can listen and record the music at the same time.

I'm getting SR_ERROR_INVALID_URL from streamripper...

If you have Windows 7, you could try adding the "stereo mix" to your recording sources. Open "Sound" control:

If it doesn't show up, right click and mark the two show options. Then right click on the Stereo mix and choose it as default or something^[1]. After that you can choose Stereo mix as the recording source in Audacity.

If you can't find "Stereo mix" at all, you probably need to reload the driver for your sound card. Windows generic drivers won't help.

If this still doesn't work, blame the DRM. Or Obama. Or the Queen's flu.

There is a configuration option to disable the honoring of DRM.

I clicked on the '128K' link in purple which downloads BassDrive.pls. That is just a plain text file with a list of urls in it. Open the file and pick one of them.
